Due care or driving with responsibility is gone from people dictionary. For a while now I notice, people don't give a shit if they are entering road with give way or exiting smaller road and directly jumping to 1st lane from 3 lane road while not giving a shit of people reaching at fast speed.
Buses are worst, they reaching bus bay and when see no passenger then just switch to back out without checking if other vehicle are are approaching.

What to do. So many foreigners here with dubious licenses. All anyhow anyhow.

This reminds me of an incident many years ago...

I was driving a rented '91 5liter V8 Ford Mustang and stopped at a traffic light. My right foot chiu-cheng neber step on blake paddle hard enough. It rolled forward and bumped into ang moh's car in front. I could only raise my hand to say solly. So paiseh.   :a-shy:

This is why I always tell my kids to MAKE SURE cars are stopping, or have stopped before crossing. See the mother, didn't even bother to turn head to look out for oncoming traffic.

But HANG ON, there were still cars making right/u-turns. The mother was crossing illegally, right?

I watched the video a few times until I realised there were still cars making right turns and u-turns when the mother and child were hit.

So my guess is, they were crossing the road illegally.

Could be straight red and right turn green also. I can’t tell.

If this is the case, the light will be still "Red Man"..but the Lexus still beat the Red Light on his Lane.

Well, it looks like a T-junction to me, so if the right turn is green, most likely straight is green as well. Look at the kerb extending beyond the traffic junction on the side where they were hit.

I am guessing the junction of Woodlands Ave 5 and Woodlands Drive 50.

EG plate. Hope it’s not those 80+ years driver who really shouldn’t be driving. Reaction is simply not there.

If the light was indeed in the car's favour, then can't really blame the driver that much leh. Not many could have avoided hitting them.
