I mentioned before. Above 80 really shouldn’t be driving. The reaction simply not there. My personal experience with my father and a few others I saw.

Common replies I get:

They drive car more than I eat rice

Drive bigger car = safer 

Stupid young ppl don't teach boomers elders what to do no big no small

Hmmmmm...... looks like a movie action scene..... 

The controlled timing were just right for a movie making. Just right traffic turns Green, just right pedestrians move off, just right lorry crash lamp post and just right lorry skidded and hid opposite building. :a-m1212::a-m1212:

From the View,if he stayed on the Side of the Road,worse..you see how the Lorry hit the Lamp post...i think call @RadXliao.

Actually ABS doesn't help you stop quicker. It only prevents you from skidding when you need to do emergency maneuver during e-braking.

For the pickup, I'm sure it should have ABS already. But just look at how quickly it appeared in the video and slid on the road. Definitely wouldn't be able to stop in time. Another thought, he could have been trying to avoid the pedestrian so swerved left, clipped the kerb, lamp post and then flipped.

84 year old still driving really not easy and amazing siah. Even when i see those in 70s still driving also quite amazing.

Many people use their phones while walking on pavement or waiting for traffic lights. This guy wasn’t, he had his wits about him, he reacted and so he is still alive because of that one simple trick.

The majority of elderly I see driving have zero road sense at all. Hogging lane 1 without a care in the world. Changing lanes without double checking. Wanna die, go far far away, don't sabo other road users.

It's not about not easy and amazing. It's more like they live in self denial refusing to believe that they are no longer in the right condition to drive, even if they are physically certified by a doctor to drive.

The only elderly I see still driving steadily is YS Khong :D

Even though many people using their phone while walking or waiting for traffic lights, but almost all of them still amazingly alive lo.

YS Khong not say very old right? 

Having zero road sense and hogging on lane 1 happens to any age group la. Although elderly driver higher chance. 😅

YS Khong should be in his 70s already :D 

The topic context is about elderly so we leave other age groups out for another day :D
