If infrastructure costs are fully borne by household residents, what then does the chenghu actually invest in? BTW water born fee is to pay for the piping but we keep paying even when it's fully depreciated. Wonder if water tariff for wafer plants and data centres (both consume vast amounts of water) will be raised or will then get the enjoy the lower negotiated rates.

I am sure big Bangalow with lush planting like those in Ridout Road need plenty of water. Wonder do they harvest rain water or use portable water? Price hike peanut lah.
