@13177 Yeah. Realised I am getting too old when I did that. Used to buy the phones from the Apple Store instead.

Long time i never tie down with any phone plan contract, always buy phone without any plan, but price quite ex la. So i don't change phone often. 😂

I do something similar on Android with a Microsoft launcher, tying everything to OneDrive and some, for additional space to Google Drive.

The Microsoft launcher saves your app list and layouts etc. making change from any Android to any Android really easy also. The trick is to remember signing out from bank apps on the old phone before trying to run on the new one.

Onedrive has 5gb free. Google Drive has 15gb free.

I'm very giam one. So no subscriptions for me.

Otherwise icloud or google drive subscriptions are useful as well.

The media files in WA do build up over time though.

I have 30GB on my personal OneDrive (No Subscription), 1TB on the company OD, and 15GB one Google Drive.

My own OD has 24GB used so I use GD as a master backup since my phone photos are sync'd with OD as it's bigger. From OD we copy over those we don't need to see often to GD.

I also refuse to pay subscription, till I must.

i just subscribed to google 100GB at $28/yr cos i find it easier/faster way to share photos with family, especially during holiday.

I subscribe to iCloud 1TB for around $13 per month, shared by family.  I also subscribe to Google drive 200 GB for $3.99 monthly. My company give me OneDrive 2TB for work. So I use all major cloud storage mostly for personal media files and learning material. 😄

One thing, I also subscribe to YouTube premium around $16 monthly and share with five accounts, no regrets. Watching YouTube without ads is so much better.

Mrs subscribe to Spotify and Netflix family plan also. 😅

Too bad, I need 20 TB... I like the idea of cloud as a back up...
