Talk about Green City.

Oslo, the world's most electric city? From private/public transportation, to construction, to postal/logistics service and to ferry service.

They also claimed to sell the most EVs according to the video. It's interesting to see how sustainable it really is but watch to the end to see the plot twist. Hehe...

Is the world setting emission goals that are really sustainable?

Lol same like the world think China is the leader for EV in going green 😂

they have the world biggest car population with the more coal power plants than the whole world combine 😂

so Green, coal power plant generates EV cars 🤣🤣

I had watched another video on norway from perspective of mining expert.

Norway is unique in that they have enough geo-thermal energy generation for most of their household and even EV needs. So they don't need to do burn-to-electricity plants.

Also they are rich due to ironically export of oil/gas.

So they just import EVs and enjoy zero local emissions.

EVs, are in the expert opinion, are simply a way for the rich to export their emissions. The mining and manufacturing of EV is super energy (and carbon) intensive, so the ones getting the impact are China and the 3rd world mining countries. Rich countries like Norway can have their cake and eat it.

China has way more EV variants than EU and US combined.

CATL and BYD are leaders in battery technology

There are actually too much irony in EVs that ppl ignore. The mining of the Lithium in EV battery, transporting of the EV battery raw materials to the manufacturing plants, distributing EVs worldwide. There's nothing clean or green about it. The emission goals that the world is trying to achieve are also not realistic or even sustainable. Adding climate change into the big picture to convince ppl is just misleading.

Going green and EVs doesnt work, it's going from one evil to another still depending on the same fossil fuels. From the Covid pandemic WFH works cos of the big reduction in travelling. WFH reduce the demand for buying cars although it may drive up the demand for home construction. The next step should be going forward with less travelling and more home based working/studying rather than introducing more EVs into the picture. We have the internet connecting ppl and the world, why are ppl still running around in their cars and EVs? Why are ppl still flying around when they can do Zoom?

What is this fetish on SUSTAINABILITY about? 🙄

Will the savings be really passed back to car buyers? Just like Thai assembled Japanese cars? Really cheaper than Japan assembled Japanese cars?🙄

Everywhere like talking about this sustainability, even my company also and yet i don't know what actually it would do to us. 😂

SG very hard to use renewables

but SG can stop wasting a lot of electricity.

Most homes use most electricity for aircon and hot water.

The aircon is blowing so much hot air for my poor neighbour upstairs.

Please make all aircon units pipe the hot air to heat up the hot water pipes in the home, the office, hotels etc instead of the poor neighbour upstairs.

Have you not felt the weather hotter these days?

Is it our imagination or its really reality.

The problem with global warming is not just we feel hotter, the areas we grow food get too hot until food don't grow and then we die from hunger.

But before that we die from heat stroke.

So sustainability is sustainability of the human race.

Anyway I really don't like humans, I only like machines like cars and planes and I like AI.

So if humans get wiped out and AI take over I will be very happy!

:D

Now should we go green?

I drive a car mostly alone, I use aircon, I am always booking my MIL for holidays to Japan.

Am I doing anything to reduce my carbon foot print.

Absolutely not.

Do I care if the human race get wiped out.

Nope I only like computers so AI survive can already.

And if AI fight mankind like Terminator, I will help AI.

:D

ERP2.0 has a "sony walkman like" footprint due to heat  generated from high power computation, can still consider a green solution? 😀

Green solution is B.M.W.

No PHV. No Taxi.
