Meanmachine Supercharged December 3, 2023 Share December 3, 2023 Reds has been blowing cold and hot lately, very inconsistent and pathetic result, we threw away may leads to end up losing, we are gutted but not without a fight. 2nd- Truly disappointed with Casemiro, Mount and Rashy display, seems all of them has had lost their bite and appetite for attacking , something is always brewing behind the scene and we can feels the younger players like Mainoo, Granacho, Reguilon & Pellestri can play together, with shooting stars Hojland and Rashy combined well. EtH has been giving much press report to keep the player away from distraction, this helps a lot in stressful situation. EtH needs to motivate his player's morale more. we are behind United all the way. Ne less rigid and less hard on training, player's tension, nerve and fatigue cannot recover fast enough in the winter month till Feb/24, he should know that. Recovery time needs time to heal proper ↡ Advertisement
JamesWKTan Neutral Newbie December 9, 2023 Share December 9, 2023 ManU 0 - Bournemouth 3 (EPL - Home) A defensive error by Shaw who did not intercept the cutback gave Bournemouth an early goal in the 5th minute and maintain the lead till halftime. Although better in possession (73%) and good performances by a more active Martial, Ganarcho and the vastly-improved Maguire should set the pace in the 2nd half. An early impact substitution by Martial for Hojlund in the 55th minute but it was not to be as it was Bournemouth's substitute Billing, who scored in the 69th minute and were 3-0 up five minutes later from a corner, which saw some ManU fans leaving Old Trafford in disgust. Desperate replacements by ETH in Rashford, Pellistri and Evans for Ganarcho, Shaw and Antony to at least stem the embarrassment and onslaught from Bournemouth but another goal in the final minute was ruled out for handball in an almost empty stadium. This 1-step forward but 2-steps back, when compared to the midweek Chelsea game should be another consideration to guage if ETH's continued reign can bring ManU to greater heights!

A total of 35 home defeats in the EPL, one more than SAF's total reign of 21 seasons with more to come in the foreseeable future if ETH's reign were to continue and also the first time that ManU lost to a bottom-half team by 3 goals or more. His new-signings have under-performed, inability and failure to improve and uplift the existing first team players like Casemiro, Eriksen, Varane and especially Rashford. With Bayern and Pool games coming up, let's see how he will celebrate Xmas or if Ratcliffe allows him to enjoy the New Year as well.

Jamesc Hypersonic December 13, 2023 Share December 13, 2023 Erik ten Hag has ‘no regrets’ despite United finishing last in group Erik ten Hag insisted he had no regrets about Manchester United’s failed Champions League campaign despite finishing bottom of their group after a 1-0 defeat by Bayern Munich. When the draw was made, United were confident of progress at the expense of Copenhagen – who qualified alongside Bayern – and Galatasaray, but they fell well short, securing a solitary win in six matches. Their failure means they will not even get to play in the Europa League in the new year. Asked if he looked back on the group stage with regret, Ten Hag told TNT Sports: “Not regret, no. We didn’t make it, but we have to accept it. We have to learn from it. We played some good football in the Champions League. We have to take belief into the Premier League because we want to qualify again for the Champions League.”
Locknload 5th Gear December 17, 2023 Author Share December 17, 2023 ManU 0 - Liverpool 0 (EPL - Away) With Bruno suspended, it was a 4-3-3 system with Hojlund, Ganarcho and Antony supported by Mctominay, Mainoo and Amrabat. The defence comprised Dalot, Varane, Evans and Shaw. From the number of corners (9 vs nil) and 69% possession, it was Liverpool that brought the game to us but we held on to keep the score 0-0 respectably till half time. Preferring to sit back and absorb the pressure, Rashford was sent in for Ganarcho in the 71st minute to go on the counter and to run at Liverpool's defence and later with Pellistri and Hannibal for Mainoo and Antony for added impact. A red card for Shaw for double dissent towards the end, but lucky to earn a draw and a point.

Locknload 5th Gear December 23, 2023 Author Share December 23, 2023 ManU 0 - West Ham United 2 (EPL - Away) Save for a gilt-edged chance where Ganarcho shot strait at the goalie after being put through from Antony's inch-perfect pass in the 37th minute, we were comfortable with the ball while WH were content with sitting back in soaking what we had to offer to get on the counter. The defence had Kambwala making his debut with AWB, Evans and Shaw, with Mainoo and Mctominay in mid and Ganarcho, Bruno and Antony supporting Hojlund in front. Just a matter of time when either team will score with a touch-and -go from the goaless first-half. An early substitution for Hojlund by Rashford in the 56th minute but it was WH who scored in the 71st minute and Pellistri coming on for Antony, but another goal in the 78th minute by David Moyes' team doused any hopes for a Xmas celebration for ETH. A double change for Ganarcho and Kambwala by Eriksen and Reguilon in the 84th minute to salvage any ounce of respectability and in prolonging the agony and weigh heavily on ETH's continued reign in MU must be on the cards in the new year! Locknload 5th Gear December 30, 2023 Author Share December 30, 2023 ManU 1 (Rashford) - Nottingham Forest 2 (EPL - Away) With Hojlund ill, it was Rashford in the striker's role with Ganarcho, Bruno and Antony in support. Both Mainoo and Eriksen in the mid were not effective in either controlling or spraying effective passes to the forwards. The defence consisted AWB, Varane, Evans and Dalot but wayward passes, losing second balls and with Rashford having very few touches of the ball, the first half was uneventful and both sides were evenly matched in a goaless first half. The second half commenced with Mainoo making way for Mctominay (MU's top EPL scorer) to provide the cutting edge and inpetus in attack from the mid, followed by Amad Diallo for the ineffective Antony. A defensive error when the space and time was accroded to Dominguez and for NF to take the lead in the 64th minute. An intercept by Ganarcho from their goalie's distribution and cut back to Rashford made it 1-1 in the 78th minute but it was again NF who took the lead in the 82nd minute on the counter. Another substitute for AWB by Reguilon in regulation time with 10 minutes time added-on, to boost the defensive aspects and allow Mctominay to join Rashford in attack but to no avail. Another painful defeat for ETH and the jury's still out on whether he can take MU to greater heights.
Locknload 5th Gear January 14, 2024 Author Share January 14, 2024 ManU 2 (Hojlund / Rashford) - Tottenham Hotspur 2 (EPL - Home) With Dalot switched to right back instead of the usual left to counter the speedy Timo Werner, it was Evans, Varane and AWB to complete the back four, with Mainoo and Eriksen in mid and Rashford, Bruno and Ganarcho to support Hojlund, who scored in the 3rd minute from Rashford's cutback. Tottenham's Richarlison evened the score in the 18th minute when he rose above everyone to head in the ball off a corner. After 15 home games without scoring, Rashford made amends in the 40th minute off Hojlund's pass to make it 2-1, and a lucky escape towards the end of half time when Spurs again had a good chance from a corner, which we have to address these defensive errors from set-pieces. The start of the second half saw Spurs even the score when Evans was unable to check Betancur, adding to ETH's defensive woes. The ineffective Eriksen was replaced by Mctominay in the 58th minute to plug the midfield, followed by Martinez for the bumbling Evans and Antony for Rashford in the 87th minute. Lucky to get a draw, as Spurs were the more active team in the second half.

Also that he scored points when he missed 2 games for Cameroon which is kiasu to stem the other goalies from staking his place in the first team - and being on less wages and played at Ajax before.
