Have to dig in and keep believing

Good play in spells

Main problem right now, cannot score and also did not defend well

For past 10 years, seems all the best coaches have been unable to find the magic to get a competitive group together

Telegraph report Manchester United's investigations prior to signing Antony failed to reveal assault allegations

Manchester United were unaware that a police report for an alleged assault on a woman had been filed against Antony more than three months before the club signed the Brazil winger for £85 million from Ajax, Telegraph Sport has learned.

Rayssa de Freitas filed a complaint to Sao Paulo Civil Police in May 2022 in which she alleged she was attacked by Antony and a woman after an argument in a car following a night out in Brazil.

De Freitas, a law student, claimed she required hospital treatment in the wake of the alleged incident. Antony strenuously denies the allegations.

United say they carried out due diligence checks on Antony as they do all transfer targets before signing him but that their investigations unearthed no evidence of any domestic abuse allegations or police involvement regarding the player and believe the information was only accessible to a very small pool of people.

Maybe their due diligence was so duly diligent after all?

Sounds like it was a bit bochup and not so diligent type of due diligence.

Wasn't 10 Hugs Antony manager at Ajax and he didn't know?

Anyway why Utd right wing always kenna this is kind of charges?

That Mason Green colour also investigated for something like this right?

Now Keane and Rio Ferdinand not impressed with Onana's blooper, saying we should have retained DDG instead. Of the new signings, both Hojlund and Reguilon played well, Mount and Amrabat plus Varane and Shaw may turn out for Sunday's morning 3am match with newly-promoted Burnley and a must win for ETH to avoid being booed again.

ManU 1 (Bruno) - Burnley 0 (EPL - Away)

With Rashford, Bruno and Hannibal supporting Hojlund in front, the mid was manned by Casemiro and Mctominay, whilst Dalot, Lindelof, Evans and Reguilon were in defence. It was Burnley that settled down and into stride much earlier and having more of the possession and hitting the woodwork for a lost chance. A goal from Evan's towering header was disallowed in the 25th minute as VAR adjudged that Hojlund impeded their goalie's movement. A superb long pass from Evans found Bruno in front of goal in the 45th minute and his first-time volley gave us the lead at half-time.

Slightly more aggression in the second half with a substitution for Reguilon with Varane in the 79th minute and Amrabat's debut for Evans in the 88th minute, with Evans proving to be the best addition to the team so far. A hard-fought victory after three successive defeats, much to ETH's relief. From the skillset and the players lack of dynamism, it is expected that there will be no easy games and only with low scores if we win, even against lesser teams.

ManU 0 - Crystal Palace 1 (EPL - Home)

Having won 3-nil against Palace last Wednesday in the League Cup, it was the same 4-2-3-1 system with Hojlund supported by Rashford, Bruno and Pellestri. The defence consisted of Dalot, Varane, Lindelof and Amrabat with Casemiro and Mount in control of the mid. With Casemiro booked early for a foul in the 10th minute, his passes were wayward at times but his tackles were still robust and not reflective of caution that one should associate with, when walking on a tightrope. It was Palace who drew first blood when they scored off a free-kick in the 25th minute and kept the lead till halftime.

Much more high press and possession at the beginning of the second half with Pellestri more active but replaced by Ganarcho in the 61st minute with Rashford moved to the right flank, followed by Martial and Eriksen for Rashford and Mount in the 77th minute. Both Varane and Lindelof made way for Maguire and VDB, with the fans befuddled by these changes when an equalizer was at stake. The added 4 minutes were not to our advantage and Roy Hodgson's tactics made for a sweet revenge for the loss they encountered a few days ago and outplayed ETH.

All this while, I have been observing Bruno Fernandes and Rashford that they never seem to track back to help out when they were in the opposition 3/4 mark..... [:(]

They stays up front more than they track back to help. :wut:

Football is a team game and total commitment from all 11 players. :we-all-gonna-die:

ManU 2 (Mctominay x 2) - Brentford 1 (EPL - Home)

With Casemiro replaced by Eriksen in the first half and second half substitutions for Rashford and Mount for Ganarcho and Antony in the 62nd minute followed by Martial for Lindelof in the 71st minute to provide more oomph in attack paid some dividends as there was more better movement in the Brentford box. The last change was Mctominay for Amrabat in the 86th minute in desperation for a leveler that was disallowed, when Martial was judged offside off Mctominay's goal but realised his ambition when he scored in the 92nd minute.

Another goal in the dying minutes of the 6 minutes of extra squeaky-bum time gave Onana a huge relief for his error for Brentford's goal when MOTM Mctominay completed his brace or else MU will have to take a long, hard look in replacing ETH to pull through at this early stage of the season, before its' too late.
