Pep Guardiola pokes fun at Mikel Arteta as Man City fume over referee decision in Tottenham draw

image.png.1526ed37266fbb6e3b602cf3e644cd0b.png

Pep Guardiola says he will "not do a Mikel Arteta comment" after Manchester City appeared to be denied a winning goal against Tottenham by a referee mistake.

Dejan Kulusevski earned injury-hit Spurs a deserved point with a last-minute header but City were left furious deep in stoppage time when Jack Grealish was through on goal only for referee Simon Hooper to stop play for a foul on Erling Haaland during the build-up.

Grealish appeared set to run through and score his second goal of the game to earn a dramatic win, but instead dropped two points to drop to third place in the Premier League and three points behind Arsenal.

Asked after the game for his thoughts on the incident, Guardiola told Sky Sports: "Next question. I will not do a Mikel Arteta comment.

If pool or asn can finish about 1.5 billion Man City and win the PL this season

its because of hard work and smart recruitment of players.

Not just take out the cheque book and the manager saying

I like this player and that player and this player and I want all of them!

Not like how Chelsea do recruitment.

To put things into perspective Liverpool rebuilt their whole midfield

with 4 new players for the price of just one Chelsea's Enzo Fernández

or one Moisés Caicedo.

:D

This is the gulf in spending between clubs and if Pool has any success this year

which I don't think they will because of a weak defence that let in too many goals

is because of hard work and smart management.

Many people have their ideas with what is wrong with Utd.

Many say cannot just blame the manager its not 100% his fault.

Its the players lah, its the directors lah, its the structure of the club etc

For me Utd problems can be very easily summed by one very simple question.

What is the identity of the club under 10 Hag.

Every club has an identity. For city its possession, Pool intensity, Ars its City lite, Spurs all out attack, Brighton build from the back, play out of the press, Chelsea cheque book management.

Even Burnley has an identity, used to be long ball and now its toe to toe. Burnley go toe to toe with every team they play. Against a top 6 team they get whack jialat jialat but against a bottom half team they whack them jialat jialat like 5-0 against Sheffield. Not surprising as Kompany is coached by Pep.

But what is Utd's identity? They are not a burst a lung to win like a Pool or a disciplined coached side like a Newcastle. They are not play the beautiful game like City or Arsenal or all out attack like a Spurs or built from the back like a Brighton or tiki taka like a Barca etc etc.

All this is the job of the manager and its very clear the manager is not doing his job.

Even under Jose Utd identity is very clear. Park the bus but score on a counter and win the game.

What kind of football is Utd playing under 10 Hag? No idea.

Pay high high for players and hope for the best out of them. [sly]

ManU pay you so much, you show what you are worth ....... :omg:

CMI, next season sell cheap cheap and buy again lor. Pocket got money, scared what ... :we-all-gonna-die:

Last year buy strikers, this year midfielders, next year buy defenders.

We only have about 130m to spend every year so takes 3 years to rebuild our squad.

Slowly but surely.

Manchester City have been charged by the Football Association after a controversial incident in their draw with Tottenham Hotspur

The FA have charged Man City for “failing to ensure their players behaved in a proper manner” during the incident in added time.

:D

City not happy with the ref screw up?

Live with it!

No action taken against Haaland?

Really WTF!

:D

Striker Haaland was one of the more vocal City players to vent his frustrations at Hooper’s decision and was visibly irritated when the game resumed.

After the final whistle, Haaland stormed down the tunnel and took to social media, writing “WTF”.

However, the FA have confirmed that no further action will be taken against Haaland for his comment as it was deemed not to have breached social media rules.

10 Hugs has lost half the dressing room!

Hope he don't get sacked before Pool game.

Nothing worse than new manager bounch

when all the players want to impress the new manager.

Sky Sports, the Daily Mirror, Manchester Evening News and ESPN were all barred from Man Utd for  reporting the ‘player revolt’.

Ten Hag denies he has lost the dressing room and says its only 1 or 2 players.

“I listen always to my players and I give them always opportunities to tell – if the players have a different opinion of course I will listen.

“But they haven’t told me. Or maybe one or two, but it is about in general – the majority – they want to play like this: proactive, dynamic, brave, that is what they want.

:D

There is absolutely no one in revolt!

Well maybe its just one or two!

Its so clear either its absolutely no one or got one or two.

Now if admits got one or two maybe its really 5 or 6?

I don't trust what he says!

These are the things he says I really cannot believe.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says goalkeeper Andre Onana is the Premier League's second-best goalkeeper "based on stats".

Erik ten Hag described Manchester United's performance in their 4-3 defeat at FC Copenhagen as "very good" and pinned the blame for the result on the officials.

Sancho claims Ten Hag lied about the reasons he was dropped ahead of the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Sept. 3.

I think there is a question mark about his honesty.

What happened to Chelsea?

Spent a billion pounds and cannot buy a win.

They should sell all the the lousy players they bought and buy some good one.

And they need a smarter manager.

Poch is not smart like Jose or even Rafa.
