Ok.😁 ---------------------- Use your touch and go ewallet. 😁 TNG eWallet allows Malaysians to make cashless payments in China via the Alipay+ network. Since early this year, TNG eWallet has been accepted by over 10 million Alipay merchants in mainland China. Making a QR payment in China is just as easy as making a QR payment in Malaysia. You can scan a static QR code at the shop or display your QR code to the merchant. so in a nut shell, top up T&G wallet and use the T&G App to make payment. Similarly you can't digitally pay back cash to your local China friends when needed. Only allowed option is tie CC to payment app. I suggest tie to two apps WeChat and Alipay as backup. I encountered CC bank blocking some small transactions in WeChat during taxi rides and I had to resort to Alipay. You'll also often get discounts and free gifts via these apps when you patronize restaurants and retail shops. DiDi is also another must-have transport app if you're not on tour group. Ride booking prices is only a fraction of SG even in major cities. Edited January 3 by Jellandross 2

They can be used to pay but cannot be used to top up balance or transfer to friends. For QR code payment, there are alternatives: 1) DBS paylah for union pay 2) OCBC apps for alipay+ and union pay.

From my experience, alipay or wechat charges in rmb. Thus, if you tie youtrip card to it, the exchange rate will follow that of youtrip card.

Activate the app then choose the city. Example, if u are in Shanghai, choose "Shanghai".... every time before metro gate, on the Alipay transport, choose Metro then show your QR code by the gate. Exit is the same. Edited January 4 by jcmm
