As an ex Subaru owner who kept a LGT for 10 years, I will say that Subaru make great cars. Reliable, rugged, good drives, with excellent road holding. If there are faults, it is the styling and heavy fuel consumption. Being MIJ with higher ex-factory costs, the cars suffer from heavy taxes. The equivalent Korean and Thai made cars cost less.  

A pity that the range sold here is very limited. 

We don't need awd here. And also their fc sucks. 

If I live on an overseas property that doesn't have paved roads, yeah sure will consider a Subaru.

No head no tail ad reminds me of the recent Giga mobile ad showing on tv. I also dunno what the ad is all about. 😂

Whenever I am driving in NZ/Oz, my first choice will be Subaru. If available, but getting to be very rare at the rental companies. Agree with you that the AWD is a waste for the bread-and-butter range sold here, like the XV. Forester AWD comes in useful if doing the occasional off-road in MY where laterite tracks still abound. However for the WRX and STi series, the AWD make drivers look better than they really are. Sure-footed around corners even when taken at speed. However AWD is no substitute for foolishness. Corner beyond the AWD's higher limits, will still end up in the fence or drain.

Honestly I don't care and I drive a Forester. Love it. Beng then Beng lo. Now all the young bengs drive gti and yam. Lesser bengs drive scirocco. TC should get him be the ambassador.

It's ironic that a Type R or Evo/WRX is probably owned by a real enthusiast. But it's the older Euro cars that are bengmobiles nowadays.

This one BENG enuff. Can be 'zong' of any SS. That Frosty look matches the car. The mat should have told him... Run Forrest, Run!

The series after the WRX 5D aare so expensive now. Wanted to return to track with a manual. But thinking of JB jams, make my legs go jelly.

Jdm depre are much higher than 535 now and I feel is just not worth it. 535 depre is around 16k and m5 20k which I think is quite decent compare to an evo9. Road tax may be high but you are getting a lot more than a 2litre turbo/na.

Anyone compare the metal thickness of Subaru cars with other cars? I suppose the metal is thinner by 0.1MM or 0.2MM compare with other cars. When you knock in the doors or other panels. They sound so much thinner with the "thong thong" sound
