Market rate could be at the lowest end of the salary scale. Example market rate for an engineer pay range is between $3k to $4k. If company is paying that person at $3k, definitely not a very attractive salary but it is still considering paid market rate lo. 😂 Haha, I am being paid to run a business with 2 business units. I also donno what market rate and cannot compare lah. Look at the bid price of land from 2020 to 2022.

Sooner or later, that company has to pay $4k. Otherwise, the hiring manager has to do it himself lor.

You will be surprised that some companies despite paying on the lower end of market rate salary, yet they are still able to hire people. And even they know other companies are paying higher salary, but this doesn’t mean the applicant will get hire by the company. Either as a gift, cash-injection, or inheritance. It's only a matter of time. What people should worry more for the nextGen is the state of the world economy. From 2010 till now, the economy and the stock market have been pumped with helicopter's money, giving insane returns over the last decade or so. US debt is in trillions now with no sign that it will ever decrease. Many cans have been created and kicked down the road so that the current generation can continue to have prosperity that seems to magically appear from nowhere. The party has to eventually end with some future generation footing the bill. That one, when it comes, no parents can help. 3

Knighthunter 4th Gear June 24, 2023 Share June 24, 2023 The way of subcontracting everything makes some important skill set missing and plus with price cutting practice among bidders to secure contract with lowest price, sometime it's just disaster waiting to happen it doesn't matter how tight regulations. Low cost lead to low automation and lead to dependency of cheap labour. Once I was so disheartened when I am attending problem in the enduser plant, instead we addressing the problem and get solution formulated, plant team discussing which contractor is responsible. This all sub-contracting model create lots of Tai Chi masters......
