Liverpool bo lui one. Always buying cheap and expecting hitting jackpot.

Just follow Mancity, buy the best like Haaland, KDB etc with blank cheque, then we can win treble (min) every season in season out.

Then everyone here will be happy like a lark. Hahaha

Liverpool’s hopes of a deal for Kone have increased as Nils Schmadtke is working for Gladbach’s sporting director.

Nils is the son of Jorg Schmadtke, who has just taken over as Liverpool’s new sporting director.

The family connection could help to smooth the path to a possible deal to take Kone to Anfield this summer.

No. 8.  Manu Kone midfielder

Yahoo News :-

Liverpool are now looking beyond the signing of Alexis Mac Allister – who now looks very likely to be their first signing of the summer – as new sporting director Jorg Schmadtke looks to the Bundesliga for further midfield recruits.

The Reds have ‘entered poker for midfield super talent Man Kone, according to Bild, who claim they’ve ‘already contacted Jone’s management and expressed interest’.

Those close to Kone describe ‘the intentions of Liverpool as “real” and “big”‘.

Having inquired about the price, Schmadtke has been told that Borussia Monchengladbach want €40-45m for the 22-year-old, though that price shoud be seen ‘more as an entry into negotiations’. Not that Schmadtke will be bothered, as the transfer fees when signing players are ‘almost irrelevant’…

Liverpool target Manu Kone 'wore the club's kit to first football trial' as coach reveals his love for the Reds

"I remember he already had a strong technique and a lot of energy on the field to recover. So we signed him immediately and integrated him into out U11 group.

"It would be especially gratifying for Manu [to move to Liverpool]. I remember in his trial at Paris FC, he was dressed in a Liverpool kit. It's his favourite club."

Heard the rumours on Mac Allister. Another typical economical purchase which is typical of FSG. the trigger price is rumoured to be  < 50M pounds... likely around the 45M region.

At this price, it is like a steal.  The bargain of 37M pounds recently spent on Gapko comes ringing to mind.

Just need to compare what Chelsea paid for Enzo... 105m In Jan!!  unbelievable number and yet to score for Chelsea after 18 games.

Liverpool targets Manu Kone and Khephren Thuram spotted together as 'contact made' over transfers.

Good friends and both play for France in front of Konate.

They could be Liverpool's twin pivot if we play 4 2 3 1

Liverpool under Klopp does not pay huge amount of money to recruit Ready-Made Superstars. JK would rather spend lesser to sign work horses and convert them to gems instead. So I wouldn't be surprise if LFC continue to spend cautiously in this upcoming transfer window.

Dun think it is solely Klopp's preference. It is FSG's PRUDENT means of managing the club's finances to ensure we never fall outside the FFP rules.

Klopp is always clear on the players' list which he needs to improve the squad. This is to be moderated by the realistic finance constraints imposed under the FSG regime. One thing i admire about Klopp is that he never moans about not having money to spend despite this being the plain and obvious truth...  this is unlike most managers who usually send such public cryptic messages to get their owners' attention.
