Alonso will be the ideal manager that FSG wanted. I wonder who is next in the list if he rejects the approach. 

Is Liverpool gonna wait for him and appoint some 'interim' manager or there is a second long term option.

I hope the return of Edward would persuade pepijn  to stay on. If that failed probably Alonso would be the next best option.
