I don't understand the offside given for 1st goal. Does it mean from now on defenders just need to run into an offside player and the goal will be overruled?

Exactly. New rules stated if not interfering with the goals, it should be warded. Well...VAR, enough said.

I also don't agree with the offside given for 1st goal.  

VAR said Endo was offside and interfered with the goal.

But the ball didn't touch Endo during its path to VVD's head and the defender could have run away from Endo. 

Anyway as I said, the Football gods decided to show that VAR was wrong by re-creating the similar goal for VVD  2nd goal!

Don't take Southampton lightly. Next season possibly in premier league together with Leicester.

That Endo's block on Jackson (0.14s in the video above)  after the ball was rebounded from Kelleher's save, was the pivotal moment in that 1st half.  Had it wasn't for that block, high chance the ball will go in since Kelleher was already on the ground.

Just take it that the Footballing God wanted to punish Chelsea and wants to see them more heart broken losing at the tail end of extra time will do.

EPL teams should now make full use of this stupid loophole to defend set pieces...look for offside players and run into them. See how long VAR can uphold this ruling.

Back at the start of season. Our game against spurs. Legit Diaz goal ruled offside. Jone wrongly red carded. All pundits saying spurs game might shape the destiny of premier league title.

@Kopites  not that I take Soton lightly, just that Pool cannot afford to lost any senior player anymore.

Matches coming 2F2F, have to rest them on FA cup(29 Feb) for PL (2 March).
