Pool made to sweat for this victory.  Supposed to be a walk-over on paper but it took a couple of goals in the last 15min of the game to get the job done.  The last 8 games will be a roller coaster ride and a cliffhanger for sure.  i dont mind the journey as long as Pool wins every game even it if is 1-0 or 2-1 or 3-2... so long as it wins all these 8 games... the title is in our hands.

Next up Utd...  they lost the game at the bridge by conceding in the 90+7 and 90+8 min of the game. this will drain the morale of any team.

Endo.

Macca had to play as 6, 3 qtr of the match. Only when klopp brought on Robertson and move gomez to 6. Macca blossomed.

Imo, too complacent of klopp. Now macca played full 90 minutes. Ideally klopp should had play endo and macca first half. Wallop SU 3,4 goals then rest both in the second half. We almost slipped (Gerrard) on banana skin 1:1

Endo is injured with a slight knock so it is not Klopp's option to play Macca as the no.6.

The likes of Konate, Macca, Nunez and Diaz all played the full 90min. so this is not ideal. at least they didnt have to play the full 112 min as the United players...

2 games in a row which they gave up lead deep into injury time.  must have deflated them much.

Truth be told, by the way they played, the results were actually justified. They were again outplayed by both Brentford and Chelsea. So Ten Haag will certainly feel the heat more.

Man U players can crumble if they have intense pressure on them from the  very first minute.

The problem with the way Pool play is that they are always very slow in the first 10-15 minutes, inviting presses and often concede against the better teams. Sheffield had a couple of good chances during the first few minutes and would have put  one away if they had been more clinical.

So I just hope Pool don't concede first.  If Man U score first, they can be very hard to deal with because their game is based on confidence.. Hope we learned something from the last FA cup match with them.

Actual facts it's the Sheffield goalkeeper that made many saves. [cool]

When we get RA the first person he will hire is Sporting CP injury prevention and conditioning expert Paulo Barreira.

Paulo Barreira was the Physiotherapist at Liverpool FC and has a PhD from Liverpool John Moores University.

He can show RA all the good places to eat Portuguese food in Liverpool.

Utd playing at home so they wont park the bus.  Pool cannot be dragged into the emotions of the game and the crowd.  If they keep their heads and play their professional game, they should be able to prevail provided they dont waste their chances which will come around. Utd's defence is very leaky at the moment. If Pool takes their places, it will be an easier game to manage come the last 10-20 min of the game.

10hugs will play counter attacks from Pool right side.

Just keep pumping ball to Rashford & Ganarcho to use their pace to hurt Pool.

10Hugs know beating Pool will give him more time to survive...

i watch pool when paul stewart and paul konchesky played... praying for others to slip up after xmas so we had a chance for top 4... so guys, enjoy this period, dun complain so much. Run in is about form and mentality. no need style as long as win. i rather be in full control of destiny than have better GD but trailing in lge table

Liverpool broke a Premier League record with 83.1 percent possession against Sheffield.

It was held by Man City with 83 percent possession against Swansea City in 2018.

Amorim plays 3 4 3 and Liverpool plays 4 3 3

Last year when we kept losing Klopp came up with a 3 2 2 3

with TAA moving from right back to be the double 6.

Amorim 3 4 3 is a WM formation which is exactly a 3 2 2 3 with a double no 6!

There is no difference with how Amorim plays and Klopp plays when Liverpool is in possession.

When TAA moves into midfield our defence is always just 3 anyway with Konate covering TAA's position.

Instead of a Robbo on the left Amorim will have a proper Centre Back as the 3rd defender to stop us giving away goals.

If Alonso did not play for Liverpool and only played for Real Sociedad, Real Madrid and Munich and we looked at his style of play he is the least suitable for Liverpool based on his style of play.

Alonso plays 3 4 2 1 so no place for Salah and Diaz as he plays with 2 no. 10 and not wingers.

Width is provided by his 2 wingbacks.

With Amorim an aging Salah will stay up higher, no need to run up and down the whole pitch for 90 mins and saving his energy for bursting into the box to score or assist.

VVD will also prolong his career with 2 CBs to help him and he will exploit his long pass to salah more often.

Amorim style suits the current players so much better than Alonso.
