We exited the FA cup in dramatic fashion.

Have only ourselves to blame, should have settled the tie in normal time.

If any positive, perhaps it’s one or two games less to play.

Pool deserve to lose.....

If the team is ahead twice and still lose the game, then the team deserve to lose. There is nothing else to say about this.

Pool play with no urgency, no hunger, no pace and basically like they don't know each other.

Nunez  and Diaz were poor and often make the wrong pass or simply didn't pass when they should.

Pool has a glaring weakness which I am surprise that it wasn't remedied by the coaching staff.

Pool is always vulnerable in the first 20minutes whenever the opponent presses quickly.  The problem is the slow build-up from the back which is prone to presses. Pool need to move the ball faster and quickly get the ball up to avoid those initial energetic presses near to their box.

Arsenal scored within the first 15 minute through this way and now Man U did the same.  I bet Brighton will try the same thing in  our next League match.

As for this game with Man U,  it is such a waste that Pool didn't kill off the match when they were 1-2 up. It is frustrating to see Pool dominating possession by passing the ball behind and wasting time.   Beating Man-U is about seizing the momentum, because they crumble easily when things start going bad for them.  But once momentum is handed back to them, they can often play well with the crowd behind them.

The pivotal moment I feel was when we were 2-1 up and have a counterattack of 4(or 5) bs their 2(?). These situations, we must score!

Sigh…. Hopefully, these painful defeat is a blessing in disguise.

ESPN sports pundits (one of them is Steve Bruce - former Liverpool defender) during discussion already advised Liverpool to forgo FA cup and concentrate on Europa Cup & Premier League.

Like this, they have less games to play (every 4.5 days). If the beat ManU, than a game every 3.7 days which take toll on players.

I agrees with them. Klopp have every Cups under his 9 years as Liverpool manager except Europa Cup of which he lost the final to Sevilla in 2016. That was when he just took over as manager of Liverpool FC.

Complete collecting all the Cups trophies before retires. [bounce2]

Salah shoud not be taken out when leading 2:1

classical cup tie, really a game of smash and grab. Both sides rolled the dice and Utd prevailed, no thanks for some mistakes committed by Pool's players at critical juncture of the game.

Not overly worried being of the cup although it would have given another chance of a pep-klopp classic. Pool can focus on the Europa and EPL for the rest of the season which is, not a bad thing after all.  City would have the FA cup and UCL tough fixtures to navigate so there will be further pressures on their energy and focus.  Likewise for Arsenal who was given a tough draw against Bayern in the UCL.

Pool? it has the rub on the green in the terms of its Europa league quarters and semis.  It can probably keep its squad fresh for the run-in so this minor advantage needs to be capitalised.

There are some unhelpful rumours that 3 forwards have picked up some minor injuries - Diaz (groin), Nunez (ham) and Gapko (ankle). Hope these are minor and they can all be back after the internationals.

Good... pls focus on the league.....

Yessi, I'm not interested if JK wins all types of trophy ornot...but I want JK and the Reds to win another league title together...their first was won with 7 games left to play...peeps said they won then becos the rests were lousy...to win it now with the top trio fighting to the end is more valuable...fight fight fight...💪

If have to lose one of the 4 cups this is the one to lose.

This loss will have focus the mind.

Man U were hungrier just like ETH's first game against us in BKK.

Arsenal beat us because they were hungrier.

Both games we deserved to lose.

We beat Chelsea because we were hungrier.

Also our best players are our kids.

Against Man City it was Quansah, Bradley and Elliot that took the fight to City and got Kyle Walker to make the mistake.

Yeah... league title always the priority... I would say more difficult to win than UCL and ensure UCL participation...

Klopp is a great coach.. and not sure if I will see another Liverpool coach more impactful than him... but he can't go on to the field and play the game.. he has done whatever he could... ensure rotation while making minced meat out of Sparta..  yet the players are either tired or holiday mood...
