They announce already?

I passed by and saw the big signboards there this morning.

If I didn't see wrongly, it's 4 days.

Reminder,

The new left exit will start in about 4 days time.

All the decades of keeping to the right, and now you need to change your behaviour. If not, sure kena accidents. [laugh]

For the first few weeks, better keep to the left.

It is just a temporary diversion on the PIE. Not the new slip road. They are diverting traffic to the left, so that they work on the area under the current PIE Edited by sbs2716g

New slip road not ready? But they would still close the old exit even with the temporary diversion?

No public announcement by lta. So dangerous imagine many people who do not know that the exit is closed. Edited by iuhne00

Don’t think that the exit is closed.

No, it is only a temporary diversion. The current right hand exit will stay while construction begins to dig the underpass on the existing section of the expressway (I think).

So continue to keep right for the exit.

The new exit is only expected to be ready 4Q 2021. More than 2 years to go.

CONSTRUCTION OF VEHICULAR UNDERPASS AT PIE EXIT 26A
Road Announcements
23 Apr 2018

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded a contract to Megastone Holdings Pte Ltd for the construction of a vehicular underpass at PIE. The new underpass will replace the existing PIE Exit 26A leading towards Clementi Road.

When completed, motorists will be able to exit the expressway via the left lane leading towards Clementi Road, improving overall traffic flow for this stretch of the PIE. As part of the works, part of Hua Guan Avenue will be realigned and widened to a standard dual-1 lane road.

Works are expected to commence in the second quarter of 2018 and scheduled to complete in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Please refer to the attached map for more details.

I dunno how you want to interpret the tunnel and completion date.

Those who pass by will see this:

H5hnrXT.jpg

It says Road Alignment, wef 3 July 2019 (Wed) 0500 hrs

3 days to go.

Arrow shows going straight is PIE Tuas

Going left is Exit 25A to Dunearn Rd, Clementi Rd

Nice picture ... my guess is the exit is still the same, just the straight road will curve to the left,

and the exit on the right, just after the curve.

So we shd start seeing some goondus who realised it has changed and make last min attempts to exit on the left.

I have been using this exit for the last 40+ years both as a passenger and a driver.
If you have been doing it for just as long.

For sure will make the mistake.
why need to call goondu. it’s not goondu.

If we now change the lift button for 1st floor back to G. And renumber the floors. Will you still press the same number?

I always thought would have been easier and cheaper to extend the flyover towards Tuas when they expanded by 1 lane some years back to incorporate a slip road under the extension.

Definitely easier for motorists.

The current solution of underpass is like using left hand to scratch right ear - still does the job but unnecessarily complicated and not elegant.

"last min" might be too late - the turn off is now earlier.
