Oh. So this iswayang not gonna do anything to the root cause that is phc? Bring forward the quota for what? That is def not going to help anything. Well done to our million dollars ministar.

That's why i oredi said earlier I'm not expecting anything useful

The bringing forward dereg is juz a pressure release valve. But pressure is still there

They already said zero vehicle growth , and this round of change is to address volatility by evening out the COE. Why you all expect anything else ?

How to panic buy when u are paying 120k just for tax??

100k plus taxes over 10 years still within acceptable range imo.

Zero growth already started since 2017 and with increasing population the COE will be on an uptrend. Want cheap cheap COE  like 10-20k might be difficult in the near future.

Ya, very unlikely. Think 70-80k COE will be the norm henceforth.

They said wait until 2024 COE will go down due to more deregistrations. But now they go and sapu the dereg quota from 2024. Then 2024 how? Damn smart way of keeping COE high.

only affects 5yr coe which is only till end 2024. spreading it over these 1.5years help to moderate the prices. after 2024, hardly any 5year renewals to scrap liao, so back to normal. in the end  just bring forward 6mths at most.

from the stats the bumper renewal for 5yr coe was in 11/2018-4/2019 when the price of PQP for catA was the lowest. so respread this lor. only 6k being respreaded. not that much in the end.

Sounded to me that those in the 5 year coe group (11/2018-4/2019), will see lower COE prices and can hoot again for the next 10 years...lol

So now they pull forward those 5 years COEs to be expired in 2025 and 2026, those who expect to see a drop in COE price in 2025 and 2026 BBQ le 😅😅

Wah KNN. RIP my 101k cat a that I just got last week. About the only consoling factor is that I didn’t get it at 103k at the record high in April.

Those 5 years COE have been pulled forward now, by then there wont be that many more COE available anymore. Those who paid for  10 years COE  in 2018 and 2019 will still have a chance if the garvernment does not tweak the system again, but highly unlikely they will leave it alone.

The good thing is COE will be stabilized, whoever want to buy car and can afford,  just buy it anytime, no need to time for COE, those who cannot afford, bye for now🤣🤣

If they are mostly in their final year now , I think they can deregister early if the COE comes down? Then can hoot again ?

Sorry..me no expert in this.....
