Thats why when I go mall, I usually plug in the slow charger even though fast charger is available. Last time go PC show in Suntec, the charger lots are in 'premium location' very near the lift lobby. I plug in slow charger so that by the time I finish shopping at PC show, charging still haven't complete, nobody can complain....  

I recently plugged into a 100kw charger at Funan, it completed charge so fast, I haven't finished my lunch yet -it doesn't make sense that I have to come down to move my car the moment the 100kw charging is completed when I am in the middle of lunch 😀

it's really a case of die if u do, die if u don't.. just like this (it's my photo but not my car and not me who put the notice, i just saw it during my break there)

I just have the feeling that the EV community is vindictive and complains a lot.

and there's a particular Tesla supporter in the EVE group that keeps comparing Tesla with BYD like a broken record... and he's irritating me until i left the group.

Isn't selecting fast charging more gracious and considerate so that more EV owners could have their EV charged and let others do likewise?

Like@Theoldjaffa said, its a no win situation. Someone will find fault with whatever you do. 

I am ok with providers like SP imposing idle fee with 30min grace period. My car fast charge in 45min, plus 30min grace period = 1hr 15min, more than enough time to do what I am doing. Maybe that idle fees will end the complaints but somehow I doubt so, people always find new things to complain about. 

Maybe providers should remove the slow chargers completely from malls (plenty of slow chargers in HDB) or set the same price for slow and fast charging. If you make slow charging cheaper, why shouldn't users use the cheaper option if they have a choice?

It shd be but the recent hoo haa to remove AC shell charging got many riled… cos those cheap farks want free parking at shell kiosks

 

abd yes! I fully support idle charges! Too many entitled cbk liao

Plus slow charger cheaper too.

If in a crowded shopping mall carpark and one is still not done shopping. The right thing would be to unplug and shift the car. But then if there are already 10days circling to get a lot will you be gracious enough to do it? Or just say f**k it and act blur.

I think I also know who you are talking about. Some Tan Sue Yew fella who is ultra pro Tesla and kept slamming BYD 😂

It's just a car for goodness's sake, not everyone wants a Tesla.
