I think all TV station pay sucks la, artistes usually depend on outside assignment to make money. Same as in mediacorpse, most artistes become rich when they are spokesperson in advertisement. Hearsay some of them managed to buy a condo from the money they earned from advertisement .

I think most Govt-linked broadcasters tend to pay very little. Cannot be seen to spend too much public money on 'entertainment'.

If you are celebrity at least can go out and get endorsement to supplement income. If you are behind the scenes worker (cameraman, scriptwriter etc), good luck to you. Basically a low-level dead end job.

Hearsay those behind the scenes worker salary really low, but still many people willing to take up such job. Long and unstable working hours.

It is low. I've seen the salary scale before. But if you really passionate about TV production there's really nowhere else to go in SG, so kinda LL.

Maybe mediacorpse headcount too high liao, so they also cannot afford to give better salary to all their staff.

IIRC Leslie Cheung also had many roles as heterosexual male lead with intimate scenes with leading actresses. 😅

That's his job, he has to act in whatever role and scene given, no matter he likes man or woman in real life lo. 😅
