kobayashiGT Internal Moderator April 5, 2023 Share April 5, 2023 Source: https://www.motor1.com/news/660624/2024-mitsubishi-colt-new-teaser/ Mitsubishi initially previewed the reborn Colt a year ago when it announced the subcompact hatchback would go on sale in Europe in 2023. The new teaser image released today comes along with news about the exact date when the wraps will come off – June 8. We get to see a section of the supermini's rear, and to the surprise of no one, it looks awfully familiar. It's because we're essentially dealing with a reskinned Renault Clio. Speaking of which, the French B-segment hatchback was spotted earlier today undergoing testing for an upcoming mid-cycle facelift. It's unclear whether the 2024 Clio will be unveiled before June 8, although that would make more sense. Either way, the equivalent Mitsubishi Colt will basically be a case of rebadging an existing car – as evidenced by the curved line in the tailgate and the shape of the taillight. Watwheels Supersonic April 5, 2023 Share April 5, 2023 (edited) For Mitsubishi fans no doubt. But they will be quite confused when they see a Renault Clio with a Mitsubishi badge. ASX already looks like this. https://www.motor1.com/news/611423/2023-mitsubishi-asx-debut-with-five-engine-tunes/ For optimistic fans they will see it as buy Japanese get Conti. Not a bad deal. Raychay 6th Gear April 5, 2023 Share April 5, 2023 But are Renault engines problematic or not?
Silverkris 5th Gear April 5, 2023 Share April 5, 2023 No, in fact Renault built very good engines, maybe not the gearboxes or other electronic parts, but they do build very good engines. Mercedes even sourced their diesel engines and smaller cc engines from them because they tried and cannot build it better than Renault. Mercedes specialized in higher cc engines though, their 2l turbo engines are better. Go up to the highest specs - Renault in F1 are trumping other competitors.
Ceecookie 5th Gear April 5, 2023 Share April 5, 2023 Will definitely be a more comfortable ride than the tin crap Attrage and Space Star, which I'm glad CnC have finally stopped selling 🤣 1

Kxbc Turbocharged April 6, 2023 Share April 6, 2023 I'm sure there are die hard fans of Colt around. At my old place, this lady replaced her Silver Colt with another Silver Colt after the first COE expired. I only notice the change when I noticed her (car) headlight covers are much brighter and clearer than her old one. Used back same license number somemore. Carbon82 Moderator June 8, 2023 Share June 8, 2023 The heart of this mini is a 1.6-liter engine and two electric motors, which together deliver 141 hp (105 kW/143 PS). Mitsubishi promises that the electric motors will be able to handle up to 80 percent of driving duties around town. It will also be offered with two purely internal combustion powertrains. These are a naturally aspirated 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine that makes 66 hp (49 kW/67 PS), and a turbocharged version that makes 90 hp (67 kW/91 PS). The automaker is also proud to be able to offer a range of driver assistance systems throughout the range. These include traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, cruise control, and more, which all come as standard. Meanwhile, the top of the line variant has blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, park assist, and a 360-degree camera system.
Jamesc Hypersonic June 9, 2023 Share June 9, 2023 I like it. Many people buy French cars in SG. Many people will also say not reliable. They bought it for the styling regardless of how reliable it is. Now if Mitsy took the styling and put in a Mitsy engine then it would have the styling people like and the reliability people want. The 4G15 is the most reliable engine in the world. Can do 1 million miles (1.6 million km) 4G15 logged a staggering 997,000 miles in a 1998 Mitsubishi Mirage sedan as proof of its reliability. Its in all the legal and illegally turbo changed Colts and Lancers and Wiras and Sagas. You can turbo charge the hell out of that engine and they can take it. ↡ Advertisement
