Same reason why I don't want to put my CC info into the Touch and Go e-wallet app for topping-up of the TnG card.

I still walk into 7-11 and use cash to top up the TnG card.

It's convenient and with the bank being the intermediary for transactions, it practically risk free, and just a bit inconvenient if you have to cancel the card cos the card got scammed... if you activate SMS alert for any transaction above $1, there's no risk literally...

Anyway, being able to use credit card to pay for road charge and tolls is best... just need one card, don't need to take out this card, remember to bring that card, whatever... TnG e-wallet in the phone plus credit card in the wallet is enough... money changer can close shop...

Yeah I can only imagine sticking out the card to tap and a guy on motorbike just snatches it and rides away.

Additional steps required when a new card is issued after expiry.

Like those taxi, ecommerce grocery retailer apps all need to updated with new card expiry.

Like you don't use your credit card at all in Malaysia meh? I more worried about using QR code transactions linked to my bank account than a credit card whose liability lies with the bank rather than your account... my card ever got scammed before, got 1000 plus British pounds deducted... I just call UOB and cancel lor... and then got a new card within 3 days... no big deal...

Lol....glad u hv so much confidence in T&G n credit card scam is nothing to u. Enjoy then

Yeah in the open lar bro... but not when you're sticking your hand out to tap your credit card at the card reader... the card is useless once you cancel it... whatever they swipe also no use.

In the first place, How come the T&G Card be OOS ? in 2022 can understand, now 20231stQ just over, likely don't want to add more,  and move to new era, thy just cannot do the simple things 1st, Bolehland likes to do many things like Technology this & that, just look at the FRID on Singapore vehicular issues still outstanding < The jams is period kinda of thing la

@teomingern Credit card once lost or stolen can be a headache to motorist, rather play safe to use on T&G card not link to any other cards is best, MY T&G card hasa limit up to RM60.00 each time & I have a spare T&G card as well for emergency, Call me kia Su, safe is better than regret.

I had set my wife's CC sms alert to as low, but she found it too annoying as she used CC for literally anything and everything, and she simply ignored these alerts, so I set it higher to $100, she then no complaints....

But then lately her CC got scammed, scammers are getting smarter, small amount, just RM50, RM 100,  HKD150 like that, and a few consecutive transactions together. No alerts, until I checked the bill and luckily that month i checked! I guess I have to lower the limit to like $5 or $10, headache siah.....

By the way, these fraudulent transactions seem made with a payment app f*v*pay based on the description, i got her to delete everything related to it.

I set mine at S$1... actually I think it's very good ah... helps track spending, and keeps me alert... at least when I review the SMS thread from the bank, I can also see what I spend on and anything not done by me will stick out like a sore thumb...

I still prefer the conventional payment. Booth to collect cash. 😁

This is precisely why must have cashless payment... otherwise sure got tax by the staff at the booths... this type can leak a lot of money...
