Poor paint job by One Garage & Colour

I hope he finds a wife soon that will occupy his time instead of staring at his bumper and going to workshops asking them if they can paint his bumper better!

If he get an MIL like mine he will have no time to even think if his bumper is one or two shades lighter or darker than his bonnet sprayed by someone else and the rest of his car sprayed by lagi another person or a robot in Germany.

If all three parts of his car is exactly the same shade then TS should buy toto and share with us the numbers.

We also want to strike first prize even if we have to share with many other people.

But the question my MIL really wanted to ask is

why TS has to paint his bumper and his right wing and his bonnet all at different times?

Is it he was admiring other people's bumpers and bang his car so many times?

Oh my the bumper on that model I really can't . . .

Let’s not forget this is the bumper. Even if the exact colour matches, the road grime and dust from daily driving and especially in this rainy weather would unbalance the match anyway.

But to each his own. And definitely he is entitled to do this. It’s his car.

Personally, if it were me, I would accept it as it is. Got more important things in life than to worry about differing paint shades.

Are you in any way related to the workshop? If not, why are you so concerned?

Personally, if it were me, I would accept it as it is. Got more important things in life than to worry about differing paint shades.

I have seen a witty comment somewhere that the bumper will fade faster than other metal panels, so in a few years' time, when it's time to sell, it will match with the others. On the other hand, if try to achieve a perfect match now, in a few years' time, it will not match with other panels due to its faster fading.

Your advice on prioritisation does have its merit, but you also rightly pointed out that each car owner has different ways of handling the same issue.

I am not saying that this is a super critical matter, but if the delivery is not up to standard, then a rectification should be in order. Just like if I did a lousy job, I don't expect my boss to close one eye and say "It's ok, no worries, be happy".

If majority of customers are so accommodating, then it will only encourage more slipshod work by these workshops.

Very true about carrot prices, that's why I only did oil change with them and the next one will be the last. Bigger repairs go elsewhere.

But outside workshops also got greatly varying standards. Can't rely on reviews too, as many are fake reviews.

I think it's high time to regulate the car repair business, same goes for renovation contractors.

@bemywife Hi dude, even though a number of forumers including me has opined that the paint job is ok,  I think your mind is already fixated that the repainted part is different shade as the original paint.  Instead of gathering support or opinions thats are pleasing to your eyes here, just repaint the whole car and move on with your life.  This is just a trival things and there are many other better and more important things to focus our mind on.  No hard feelings.

Aiyah. He wanted support that he was right in that the workshop screwed up but in the end didn’t get the support what he wanted. 
forumers were also smart to notice that only one indoor shot was posted and no outdoor one was posted till much later when asked. Even he himself admitted that in outdoor, one can hardly see the diff.

learn to drive properly

don't bang the bumper,

don't scrap the side fender

@Mkl22 sometimes, people just want to win for the sake of winning to 争－口气.  It is just a car paint job.  If not happy with the paint job, just negotiate with the paint shop to re-do it lor.  If cannot be done, take legal actions against the paint shop if he feels that he has a strong case.  If negotiation fails and don’t think has a strong case, just lan lan get another paint shop to re-paint lor.
