Malay Mat Rock Bands

Wonder anyone interested in Malay mat rock bands of the late 80s to late 90s? I am Chinese but I am a rock fan so their sound and guitar riff and style suits me just fine. I dig all kinds of rock music from Canto (Beyond), Hokkien, Jap (X-Japan), English, Chinese (黑豹,唐朝) etc. As one grow old, prefer their rock ballads over their fast numbers. For malay mat rock I have a great collection of all the bands ballads. Just to name a few.

Mostly Msian bands but there are a few Spore bands too. Most are 1-2 album bands so few ballad songs for me to collect. At the height of mat rock, one album can have 5-6 ballads!

Thanks to youtube creation, kind souls upload their band music for me to slowly collect be it Malay, Canto, Hokkien, Jap, English, Chinese. This will be one of my retiring coming hobbies after leaving the rat race of corporate world in a few more years time !

Not a fan of Mat Rock but do enjoy the love songs they play at Malay weddings...so soulful...but sometimes they play rather sad sounding songs after the wedding proceeding while packing up...sekali becos the proceeds was rather sad...😂

To be honest, those mat rock band members of those era did not make it rich although musically they are talented. They really play for love even though it seldom bring enough rice on the table. For these I respect them. Only record companies make tons of monies.

I every weekend will listen to one to three bands and I already compiled into ballads so are slow numbers all through. Their fast numbers can be fast like heavy metal which I listen when I am in my teens haha.

Some hardcore metal/rock lovers accuse me of abandoning my music faith but I am old, fast numbers really pump my heart very fast wait I heart attack die earlier how? So I take the slower ballads route though. Metal,rock ballads really nice melody and all so I intend to focus more on this still within the music genre softer side though.

This is a good ballad from Search. Can also listen Iklim Suci Dalam Debu or May Suci or Bumiputra Rockers Dari Sinar Mata and many others
