The thing is dunno whether the caifan owner is making money or not. Need to pay rent for the store, owner need to eat also. Maybe she pay herself $2 for her own cook meals too. Hehe...

Jokes aside, I am doubtful cos many F&B businesses and even hawkers call it a day due to raw ingredients price inflation. The $2 caifan is hard to sustain.

I agree and I think it may be either someone or some people chipping in the money and treat this as charity.

Machiam the mystery donor who dropped off $50k a few times at a temple. Iirc, the temple dished out free vegetarian lunch to anyone who walk in.

I just hope that those who can genuinely afford, will not deprive those in need from enjoying food from this stall. Or connect heart to mind to wallet to pay more towards the "survival" of this initiative.

Just slip $4 or $5 quietly as your contribution.

Yada-ing.

Stay safe all

Cheers

Making money is not a priority for Tahir, as he told Amrin: "I rather be rich in virtues than material wealth".

Very wise man.

I don't see any wrong in patronising at this stall.

You can always ask them to keep the "change" ($5 for a $2 plate). 😁 Literally Indirectly help them to soften from the impact of inflated costs.  I would love to do so if not for the location.
