If change prematurely it will come back to bite him later on.... It's still early in the season

i think later can use back old engine one ?

its the introduction of new parts that causes grid penalties, later use again no more penalty.

Ya indeed... But max doesn't always get off the line well so won't be surprised if Alonso reaches turn 1 first

most exciting qualifying i've watched this year. Max cruised in Q1 and Q2, then in Q3 Max used sector 3 to get himself out of trouble twice (I think ?, so many things happening).

when Alonso took provisional pole and Max was 0.2s down after sector 2, I also thought it'll be Alonso already.

see how Max starts tonight. he does start well sometimes.

later then I watch peter windsor analysis.

El Plan is a wily old fox - what he lacks in youth and the reflexes it brings he makes up for it with strategically phrased barbs and trash talking to get inside the heads of other competitors.

And this year he has the equipment to match his complete package, and particularly this track is one that is notoriously hard to overtake on. I suspect he’s going to make sure he come out of turn 1 in the lead, knowing that Max is going to drive to protect his WDC points lead. Fortunately for Max, Checo f***ed it up in Q1 else he would have been even more of a threat should he DNF.

All in all, Alonso reminds me of Michael Jordan in his first comeback.
