Yes, I have been saying it is difficult times to invest and with a mad man in the white house, a bull run this year for even the depressed Chinese stock is also out of the question.

Glad that I moved money to bonds and built a more defensive portfolio in 2024 but I have not been spared too. Low 6 digit losses.  Now doing DCA to buy back what I sold, mainly DBS and a few other counters. Lol

So far I have not touched US denominated papers.  Was trying to buy a SGD paper this morning but spread has widened.  But going to queue.

Just invest, nibble on the way down and make sure we are paid while we wait.  I remain optimistic that this is the Asian century.

You win some, you lose some. My overall portfolio also dropped A LOT from its peak a few weeks ago. But still up compared to 6 months ago guess since equity less than 50%.  Can't complain too much.

It's auto updated daily. No need to count. Make it easy to feel down right? 😅

Ask yourself does the drop affect your current and future lifestyle? If not, then there's nothing to worry about.

bonds die… stocks 10x worse

time to keep back in pillow again?

😅

You already kept so much under the pillow, no problem lah.

bonds drop, yields up, already told you its time to capture the higher yields for long term.

such a good chance.

as for stocks, that one continue to nibble when the time is right lor.

when your  portfolio is small relative to entire networth, nothing to worry of course.  Wont affect much of anything.

thats why most Singapore lang, happy go lucky, until they kena pok or until they hit their 50s and realise that they cant retire.

no $ to buy single issue bonds. Not familiar also.

I got some MBH to keep for reallocation for when DBS goes to the gutter.
Bought tiny bit of pimco Income E yesterday.

What is MBH?

Just sharing, I am also planning to sell my Singtel and Netlink, which are holding up quite well in this crash, and rotate to beaten down bank stocks and perhaps some REIT ETF if the big crash come.

We are all waiting for the big liulian to drop.

I am nibbling on the way down but not sure the bottom...

Don't think DBS is that cheap at current level but I bought some at $37 a few days ago.

Definitely not cheap, in my opinion.   But DBS has natural singaporean advantage

The REIT space has gone back some 20yrs.
Definitely underpriced now, but yes I for one always recognise the risk of valuation versus real value.
