Is data roaming package usable on cruises?

No, inside the ship, play by their rules. nothing else works, ha ha...

have to pay atrocious $$ to have wifi, and got limit in no. of devices... then if suay suay encounter bad weather, the wifi will fail... then call their guest services to complain/enquire, they just say wait for good weather, then wifi will be back...

If you're travelling throughout Europe, best is get their local SIM card, cos of EU rules, roaming is free throughout EU... that's what I did in 2018 by getting a UK SIM card and used in France & Switzerland... now that UK is mo's longer under EU, then buy local in Germany and can use throughout mainland Europe... confirm will be compatible with all telco service providers cos they're all EU law compliant...

Pay good money to go on cruise ship

just to play internet?

Might as well stay at home!

:D

Anyway people's money they spend how they want to make themselves inconvenience and unhappy is their taichi.

It's been a while since your post, but I'd like to add some information. I’ve given Jetpac eSIM from Circles. Life went on a couple of trips, and it worked pretty well for me! Setting it up was straightforward, and the connection was pretty reliable in most places I visited. It made life easier not having to swap out physical SIM cards.
If you're exploring options, you might want to check out Simify too. I’ve used them a few times, and I found their plans to be super flexible, especially if you’re hopping between countries. The data speeds were decent, and I never really had issues with connectivity. Plus, their customer service is pretty responsive, which is always a bonus when you’re traveling. Ultimately, it depends on your specific needs and where you’re traveling to, but both Jetpac and Simify have worked well for me.
