If you look into the details, non-private owned vehicles actually accounted for 35.5% of the 'Car & Station-Wagon' population. There were 1,723 company cars, which is mostly acquired by leasing and rental companies, including Bluesg...

With these companies expanding their fleet aggressively currently due to stronger demand fuelled by high vehicle ownership cost, I am expecting the overall % to increase to between 38% - 40% by end of the year. Is this percentage substantial? I personally think so.

Soon we'll be a nation of PHV drivers....

COE high -> less new car sales -> car salesman switch to become platform workers -> more platform workers = more PHV demand -> employment rate stable -> PH companies buy more new cars -> COE higher -> ordinary folks unable to afford new car -> take PHV instead -> drive up demand for PHV -> PH companies buy more new cars -> old cars sold off with profit driving up second hand market -> unable to afford second hand car -> take PHV instead -> drive up demand for PHV...😅

More of a nation where we don't own anything.

Rent HDB to live in rather than own one.

Rent cars or take phv/taxi instead of owning a car.

Originally was supposed to have charged by distance. Now is back to the same type of gantry system. A whole lot of nothing for the same shit. Isn’t it a failure

charged by distance also need to install the new IU unit first, haven't even install how to charge? Delayed due to supply issue, covid etc. it will come soon.

What I meant that in the end it will be a similar system as per the gantry one now. Just that the gantries are now virtual. ERP2 will not have distance based charging.

LKY was strongly against this idea. When we own something we take ownership, have a sense of belonging. Are we falling apart?

Now is different. No ownership = easily replaceable. So is a warning to us, we can be replaced.
