True that they don't care but it is also due to the fact there is simply no plan or design to ensure they have the proper equipment and facilities to keep place hygiene. The people responsible for designing a hawker center only care how many stalls can generate how much rental. Since there is a queue and demand, no matter how lousy, operators will bid and queue for the stalls.

You don't find the same problems in kopitiam and food court because they need to attract stall holders. It all boils down to poor management.

Hawker centre indeed have poor management. No matter whether it is newly built or renovated hawker centre. The same old dirty situation would come back again. Like one hawker centre that was just renovated which i always go, the toilet are brand new and yet become smelly very fast again.

Cannot just blame the mgt of HC and the contractors. The users are equally, if not more, to blame.

Most SGreans, esp those who sit in HCs all day long, treat public toilets like crap. I think we all know that. It's hard for the cleaning crew to keep up.

While it is true about users. Why we find some kopitiam cleaner than others, we don't want to compare food court. The same group of users but the cleanliness level vast different.

We all know its not about the cleaning but more about the using.

a large population of Singaporeans are unhygenic & inconsiderate
lets not kid ourselves.
public toilets will remain as such for another 20-30 yrs at least, probably longer.

graciousness is simply not a Singaporean thing.

Swiss standard, i pwui !

Totally agree. You can see nicely dressed people in nice cars throwing trash out of their cars, smokers (nicely/shoddily dressed alike) throwing cigarette butts onto the ground everywhere.

If I had a say I would made these litter bugs swallow what they throw.

I think we heard wrong again, not Swiss standards, it's sewer standards.

Nothing to do with the person’s educational level, rich or poor, high position or low position in the company, it is got to do with the person’s character and maybe upbringing.

Koufu is serious in keeping their toilets clean. They need your feedback.
