Met the owner once. He is not intending to keep the car beyond COE life. So for now its just about keeping the car going.

Once there is any transfer of ownership , you need have an additional prefix after the numbers …

only original plate with the original ownership then behind got no prefix ..

More like late 60s/early 70s. Apparently the alphabets don't run in sequence.
