No point! CNC will always argue it is still in good condition and they can't change under warranty according to SOP. Tried changing many items like battery ~75%, suspension, drive shaft and etc and they just argue like no tomorrow. End up changed at outside workshop 🤣🤣🤣

I've bought it for my previous GLA. Have changed front left drive shaft, petrol cap cover that does not auto pop out, engine coolant temperature sensor.

But I've thing about c&c is that they are very ngiao over potential wear and tear items like coolant pipes etc.

This I have to agree. My experience with PML is that they will fix everything as long as you are under warranty, even if it's just making sounds/vibrations. Of course wear and tear items such as batteries and tyres are not counted.

What’s the difference between this and the so-called 10 year engine and transmission warranty by CnC?

Erm... I have Sgcarmart warranty now. Not the best, but we will do a full evaluation before the plans start. So you will have peace of mind that the car is in good condition! 🙂

is it offered by MB themselves or C&C? The beemer one I understand if offered by BMW asia, and according to hearsay is much better than last time when it was by pml themselves.

When was it by PML ? Extended warranty needs to be approved by BMW.

This is like buying insurance for your new furniture. LoL, covered by insurance company. A third party. But less chance of kelong. It is good for electronic stuff, extended warranty is useful for such items. This type of warranty I might consider. If items not repairable, I may get a replacement or top up for smth else depending on T&C. As a buyer this kinda warranty at least I feel that I am covered. I buy with little worry.

The car dealer ownself provide warranty is imo rather dubious. There isnt any neutral party to verify whether the car owner's claim for whatever faulty parts is justifiable or reasonable. The clause is written by the dealer as well. The decision goes to the party who provides this so called warranty. I feel it is pretty much one sided. TBH I stay away from any car dealer's warranty.

Even though it is underwritten by an insurer, AD might have discretion up to x amount .
AD might not allow those replacements to improve profitability.

this is common modus operandi by ADs....

Extended warranties will include clause for you to keep sending back your car back to AD for servicing or else the extended warranty is no longer valid.

When you send your car back for servicing, that's when the cleaver is sharpened and start to chop......rotors, brake pads, suspension, engine flush, battery.... " Sir, your battery is recommended to change but this is not covered by warranty"

Anything that is covered by warranty will be "no worries, it can last another 100,000km one, no need to change now."

Think carefully is your major large ticket items (non-wear and tear) in your car will be likely to break down in the next year? As what other forumers have alluded to, claiming for stuff under extended warranty, the AD will make you haggle like you buying fish from the market....leave a bad taste in the mouth.

the ADs are also smart because people who will bother to even look at these extended warranty packages are those who takes good care of their cars with regular servicing done. With that, the chances of anything breaking down is even more remote. those that are idefects from the factory would have surfaced in the 1st 3 yrs of ownership anyway. Many of these potential car owners are likely to be not very confident or well versed in the workings of their cars, so they are more likely to just buy the package for peace of mind and let the AD cut.

Agree with all. Too much alibaba from ADs as well. Majority out to squeeze every last drop from you.
no way in hell will I sign up to be ketok more at their mercy with no recourse.

PML has a pre warranty end inspection available  for $ 1xx-2xx and have been known to change certain items which haven't failed yet .

Merc I have no clue.
