I give QYF benefit of the doubt because she actually had depression. Obviously her actions were wrong and cannot be condoned but honestly when you have depression sometimes it's difficult to control your emotions.

Drink driving is dangerous. I know of people got killed because the other party drinks. While you don't cherish yours, that innocent family lost a life. That 1 mistake can be fatal.
