There were quite a few cases of this nature. Father killed daughter, grandson killed grandmother, son killed mother, son killed father.

It is very sad and tragic.

May the souls rest in peace.

These days, kids are not like what we were in the past. The people they mix around also does not have the kind of kinship feeling and thus they themselves will think differently.

Last time we used to say the parents did not teach. But these days. I will not say such things. Cos my parents also did not teach me much. I picked up all the things from all the good friends I mixed around. Same goes with my brother, my parents also did not want him to go astray. His friends out there probably were the ones influencing him and of cos, he himself has to differentiate good or bad

too much American culture lah. We are too influenced by those ang moh stuff. Kids nowadays from Primary school onwards, already have the F word in their daily conversation. Where are the the Confucius value? anyway, in SG, what is important is PSLE and O level score lah, the rest are rubbish. This kind of case will be more frequent in the future.

I think he could not afford to take the risk.  Had he not done it, I think today we all be holding PRC passports. [:p][laugh][laugh]

Please do not pass judgement from the news, investigation is ongoing.

It could be a case of abusive parents, or some circumstances that we as onlookers do not know, but still it's a tragedy that someone had been killed and killing the father should probably not have been the way out.

Yeah, they probably don't even know what it means.

Honestly, murder is actually not uncommon. Just that now with 24/7 social media this kind of thing gets publicised more.

If you flip through newspaper in 70s/80s, when someone gets killed the most get a few lines in the newspaper.

In any case, RIP. Shall not judge. Everyone got their difficulties.
