All the above?

" it provokes the desire, but it takes away the performance" according to Shakespeare.

Only booster that works is this

Or NO2!

Hi everyone,

I just got my new car and am reading online to learn all the tricks to save on petrol costs. May I ask if SPC 23% + $3 off every $51 charged is the best discount I can get in Singapore? Can I get similar discounts with Shell and Esso since some seniors mentioned SPC petrol is inferior?

I would appreciate any advice or tips the senior here could share to save costs. It's my first time owning a car, so I have no prior experienc/knowledge. Thanks in advance!

"some" people say that SPC petrol is inferior , with no scientific data proven. Just pump whatever is convenient to you and also cheapest.

Or if lazy to do research or carry so many cards, any card just go Sinopec also 23% on certain days.

Aiyah petrol is not food lah. All same same. If feel not enough power, just whack the throttle wider!

Not exactly especially after you pump RON100.

Toyota altis (non hybrid)

thank you…..

Welcome to the ice family.. no need to stick with a single petrol brand.. me pump from shell, Esso, spc, Caltex depending on who gives me best discount vouchers.. good to a few credit cards since different brands prefer different cards..

Rather than more power, it might be less loss.

Currently, there will be loss.

Not 100% of input will be converted into battery power

I can feel the diff on small engine capacity cars. With big cc and forced induction. No diff for whatever brands of petrol.
worst was spec diesel crappiest of all. Lots of black smoke and no power

also put a bottle of redline injection cleaner in after 100k km. Can feel the response return especially on the high rpm. Best $20 spent on the car.

I'm using injection cleaner every 10k, have tried redline, caltex and liqui moly. Yes it does help for my car, very good response for my small cc car. Some drivers won't feel any difference though, similar to pumping 92 vs 95 or vpower. It's all personal.

Thank you sir and your advice. May I ask how can I get those vouchers? Do I need to pump with specific brand for a period so they will issue those vouchers to me? I don’t think they will give any to new customers at the start, right?

Faster won't be paid more than 400.  Good enough no need to over kill. Like petrol octane.

For petrol octane, there is no such thing as overkill.

RON100 definitely more song than RON98/Vpower

Install the Shell, Esso and Caltex app on your phone and sign up.. some vouchers are released via the app.. Shell app can also link up with safra membership for added discount and sometimes can redeem some bank (eg. Citibank) coupons also.. occasionally banks may also send u some discount coupons, and occasionally some petrol stations also issue discount vouchers (eg. When they closing for Reno etc.)
