I don't like the school stand on this instance. It should be a straight police case. Apparently parents also failed to discipline this boy so ot should be a straight "boy home" for him as well. I seriously doubt school counseling would bear any fruits.

Lucky you not in charge of schools or MOE, otherwise I think 10-20% of BTO need to change into building boys' home liao.

my wife told me that. But really i was super angry. 
Usually I'm the type quick to irritate but even if i get angry it's usually for an hour or so.

I came home from work, i immediately went to the pool to swim even though i needed to leave in 30mins to fetch my kids to lessons.
Was still pissed after that. Only felt a bit better after some sleep to have emotional blunting.

Actually this incident really pissed me off big time. This is about a month after already and other than my wife, i didn't mention it to anyone else cos it really stokes my emotion. Haha even now, i feel the need to rant! 😆

 

Haha empathise with the teacher. Sit there be a verbal punching bag.

Imo, sending them to a boy home in itself is giving them a chance to readjust their life path.

I am a conservative person when come to a child upbringing.

Actually our boys school considered very kuai, even though is not as elite as top tier school.. HArdly heard of these type of pai kia cases.  But depression one I heard before.

One very important thing about parenting is to never encourage a "victim" mentality in your kids. The above is part adolescent angst, part victim mentality.

Albeit if u grew up in a difficult environment, it can be hard not to have such a mentality.

Psychopathtic or narcissistic children.. PArents without training also cannot handle one. Need someone like Dexter's adoptive father to channel his dark side to something acceptable to society.  Exteme cases they do murder their parents blamin them for every thing, even minor ones.

Yah, I am assuming it's one of the easiest to manage base on what I observed, the other one very similar is NUSH.  I think the 100% DSA admission play a role, because the school gets to select who they want and not given whoever make their cut off. 

My son, with the involvement of his old man would likely be classified as a trouble maker by the school standard already. But luckily he walked out pround.

On a side note, he finally realised how fortune he was to be able to spend 4 years there. Of late he been telling me how he finally can see a different among students from different schools coming into poly. Not only because he is on GPA4 on all subjects so far, all 7 of his kakis are topping their respective courses, while the only JC boy is doing well also.
