Causeway Jam JB side

Last Sunday night 21 August, I saw on the traffic cam that there was a MASSIVE traffic jam returning to Singapore on the JB side.  The Causeway was clear so the bottleneck is the JB Custom.  The jam according to Waze extended past Taman Pelangi on the EDL side and past Century Gardens on the Tebrau Road.  If you are familiar with JB you will realize how massive it was.  Anyone know the cause?  Did the JB Immig system crash or all the officers go on strike?  It was crazy.  It must have taken people 6-8 hours to clear.

 

Anyone caught in that Jam and can shed light on what is the issue?

Most probably Malaysia custom officers watching the news and listening to radio on the Najib trial...😁

I was there from 4pm, took 1hr 50min to reach JB checkpoint, another 15min to clear SG checkpoint.

Nothing special, just the counters not operating in 100% capacity, each of their officer taking their own pace.

If no jam means smth is wrong on the other side. I okay with the jam. You don't want jam, you don't drive lor.

If no jam up to 5km on EDL on Sunday night, Monday morning sun will rise from the west.

You said it yourself, Sunday night. ICA already gave warning on news and radio to avoid travelling on weekends, it is peak. But ppl dont listen. That's why jam lo.

Sunday dont care what time you come back. Be prepared for jam.

Can always check camera live feed before setting off.

Singaporeans Motorists just love JB so much, strawberries and Marmalade jam is nothing la, Full tank will become 3/4 tank . hehehe !

jam is normal. if no jam. i worried.

Wah go in and only pump 1/4 tank

and stuck 2 hours in a jam all the savings gone.

No wonder people need to pump empty tank

to make it worth while.

Wrong leh. Sunday, must come back before 10am. Sure no jam. Did it last last Sunday. Cleared both sides in 20mins back to SG.
