Fun Fact

The width of Emina (and Lucida) is 110mm narrower than the first generation Estima so as to qualify for tax benefits of Small Size Passenger Vehicles, more commonly known as "5 number" vehicles in Japan.

For "5 number" vehicles, length must be <4.7m (4,695mm max), width <1.7m (1,695mm max) and height<2.0m (1,995mm max).

That’s nothing. There is a EE plate Jaguar E type V12 on our roads with normal plate. Imagine the amount of road tax paid since the 1970s.
and road tax was much higher then than now.

Expand

The road tax for this E Type V12 is $9,078 (with 50% surcharge), not the highest yet.

Tommie Goh has a normal plate 1994 Rolls Royce Silver Spur, which attract an annual road tax of $12,378 as of current.

@107fan @inlinesix $6.6K road tax for EV is equivalent to that of a 5.7L gasoline engine.

Mid engine is RWD. Got mid engine FWD? 😆

Have lah. Mitsubishi FTO is one such example. If I am not wrong, some of the older Citroën also pair front mid engine setup with FWD.

If you are referring to rear mid engine, than it should only pair with RWD.

But Jaguar has been paying since 1970s a full 20years more. So to me it’s the leader in roadtax.

I wonder if his RR Silver Spur is actually daily driven level of road worthiness?

More curious also does SG have any true RR/old Crewe-era Bentley specialists? My guess is most of these true specialists are probably in the UK still.

What is the point of holding on to the nostalgia of these old regal machines when they are collecting dust in a basement.

1.6L will be a lot better drive than the 1.0L 3 cylinder engine.

the mass majority was 1.3 but it was a joke... the number is so useless that a minor bump will cause it to split.. nothing to worry when that happens as u only need to lift from the chin of the bumper to clip it back..

I spotted this same Corolla liftback a few year along Beach Road, so seems that the owner has renewed the COE till 2028 (it would be 30 yo by then).

The previous gen Corolla (E100) liftback variant look sooooo much better (rather futuristic during it's time). I wonder if there is any survivor on our shore...

Thanks for sharing.

If the COE expiry date is correct, this one should be able to make it to classic car scheme by end 2027. [thumbsup]

But why leather front seat with fabric rear seat?! The fabric seat in the rear look reasonably good given the age of the car.
