To me, that is the beauty of it. From far, it look like black, blue or dark grey but it appears purple under bright light. Swee!

My daily commute was with this Grand Hiace while in Philippines recently. 

Spacious than Alphard / Vellfire but built quality is still Hiace standard. The seat is very comfortable though, close to the previous gen Alphard / Vellfire. 

Overall, it still lose out to the Hyundai Staria (which I took while on business trip in Malaysia), which offer better ride comfort. To put things in perspective, Staria is a gen behind Alphard while Grand Hiace is 2 gen behind.

I am hazarding a guess that it was a Mercedes, which has several purple shades yet looking like Black under normal lighting condition, in the mid 2000.

I think the rear light placement are not the best and not bright enough during the day.

At night would be no issue

Got money buy 2 exotic cars, means stay HDB and can buy many condos and rent out. Does not sound surprising at all.

Some people rebuild their homes n rent hdb for that duration of 3 yrs
