You woman? Tot only women drive barefooted. I wore SAF boots also drive, slippers also drive, but never barefooted, which feels very naked to me.

Actually I am like you but I realise it's more about the heel instead of the front part of the shoe - idk if that makes sense. Last time only can wear slippers to drive but now I can wear sneakers and still feel.

The pedals are just metal/hard rubber. There is nothing to feel.... Not like jello type thingy.

It's not so much the physical texture, but more about controlling the pressure and movement of the pedal.

Usually for drivers who enjoy slow and steady acceleration, or foot on and off constant braking in a long traffic jam.

Without "feeling" the pedal through a thin sole, an army boot will cause more movement, and more jerkiness.

So, because all our bus drivers wear safety boots, public transport is so uncomfortable? Here I was always blaming the crappy gearbox.

i wear slippers I feel very insecure and unsafe when driving, because when you rest your right heel near the accelerator, the slipper will be pushed upwards, sliding loose.

if the slipper got loose, potentially can get caught under the brake pedal if not careful.

that's why minimum I only wear sandals with heel strap when I drive.

For me if barefoot will have cold feet 😁

if wear boots will accelerate heavier & brake harder,

if wear slippers or sandals may get stuck,

prefer to wear flat thin soled shoes like loafers, moccasins or trainers/sneakers when driving.

Have not driven buses or lorries before but I would imagine their pedals to be less sensitive and a thicker sole would be more suitable.

At least the headlights are no longer Porsche-bug-eyed, which is a nice change/

But like most EVs, it has generic long thin lights. I don't like it.

Not only removal of rebates, tax was imposed on CNG. That's what killed CNG completely.
