Perhaps it's the only lamp he can source. And yes that steering wheel is way too old for this model

It has to be period correct mah

Car plate or rims not period correct still ok/very common. I think lamps and steering wheel should be period correct at least

Maybe i was thinking that a steering wheel was like an accessory. So what period would a Nardi wheel be for?

I think Nardi was never stock for mercedes so to draw a similar comparison, would put it earlier the 70s models. That would rule out w123/124/126s in my opinion.

I am sure @ER-3682 can opine more on old mercedes

In another similar topic this is how i personally classify vintage/classic cars vs retro cars. I think the 70s w124 is where i draw the line where it are no longer vintage but considered "retro". Or another word I would use is like, "late modern" maybe. Where cars look less ponton and more boxy. The nardi wheel to me is a vintage/classic accessory.

For Old Mercedes Benz, only the Stock Steering Wheel's Opening can see the whole Instrument Cluster...it is very big, some People don't like the Size, once changed to a aftermarket or a smaller Mercedes Benz Steering wheel like the one used in the W124 or W201,It blocked the Meters..
