he may have lost some of his pace, but CR7's finishing is world class

although he din see too happy during his goal celebration

Actually he did as there was a pic of him smiling and showing '7' of his fingers to rep 700 club goals. No 'Siuuuuuuu' however.

Hopefully, more of goals if he puts on his scoring boots.

Yes, Beckam also wants him for the Major League Soccer in the USA but I think he wants UCL to compete with Messi as GOAT.

ManU 1 (Mctominay) - Omonia 0 (Europa League - Home game @ 2nd Leg)

A similar 4-2-3-1 formation with CR7 supported by Rashford, Bruno and Antony, while both Fred and Casemiro (in place of Mctominay and Eriksen) handled the midfield well. The back four comprised of Malacia (for Shaw) together with Dalot, Lindelof and Martinez. A good display of attacking flair with Rashford's three shots ably saved by Omonia's reserve goalie and their defensive set-up of 5-3-2 that kept the score 0-0 at halftime.

With substitutions of Sancho, Shaw, Eriksen and Mctominay in the second half, it was Mctominay who broke the deadlock in the 92nd minute to provide a sigh of relief for ETH in which Ominia's goalie was deservedly MOTM.

ManU 0 - Newcastle 0 (EPL - Home )

Partnership of Sancho, Bruno and Antony supporting CR7 in front and Casemiro and Fred (as Mctominay suspended for 5 yellow cards) and Dalot, Varane, Martinez and the in-form Luke Shaw for Malacia. Losing second balls and compounded with erratic passing, it was Newcastle who had the better chances with 2 successive shots hitting the posts and more corners that displayed their attacking flair, and we were lucky to end the first half scoreless.

A much better display in the second half with better accuracy and fluid passes, with Rashford the only substitute, who came on for CR7 in the 71st minute, missing a gilt-edged chance with his header going wide at the end of 95th minute. A draw was the fair result with Spurs and Chelsea up next in the following week.

saw the replay, i think cr7 was rob of the 2nd goal by the ref.
really poor decision there. whistle was blown, the ball kick back to kp by newcastle player.
newcastle Kp was dreaming and cr7 steal the ball with top class acting.

Totally legal all the way.

And the penalty for the foul against Sancho should have been allowed. Both Fred and Rashford also should have converted their chances, especially if Ronaldo was there for Rashford's header.

ManU 2 (Fred / Bruno) - Spurs 0 (EPL - Home)

With CR7 on the bench, it was Rashford in front with the same system and team set-up. We had more of the chances with penetrative runs, just that the clinical finishing being a let-down for the efforts and intensity displayed. Play was interrupted when Luke Shaw, Eric Dier and Dalot were hit on the face but the extra 2 minutes in the first half remained scoreless.

With just a minute into the second half, Fred gave us the lead from Sancho's cut-back that was deflected into the net and Bruno put the game to bed in the 69th minute. With Mctominay, Elanga and Eriksen for Antony, Sancho and Casemiro, the continued dominance in the midfield and high-pressing reduced Kane and Son to mere passengers. The result was a performance of intensity, with a clean sheet to boot, with CR7 playing no part in this game and headed to the dressing room before the end of the match. GGMU!

ManU 1 (Casemiro) - Chelsea 1 (EPL - Away)

With CR7 not selected for this match and made to train on his own for his petulance and childish antics displayed at the previous match, it was a similar system with the exception of Eriksen instead of Fred, pairing with Casemiro in midfield. Although we had more of the possession and shots at goal, Chelsea held out for a scoreless first half.

With substitutions in Fred for the off-form Sancho in the 52nd minute and later with Lindelof for the injured Varane, followed by Elanga and Mctominay for Eriksen and Rashford. A needless foul by Mctominay and it was Chelsea who broke the deadlock from the resultant penalty. With six minutes of time added-on, Casemiro levelled the score when his header went over the line in the 94th to share the spoils, which was a fair result between two equally-matched teams.

ManU 3 (Dalot / Rashford / Ronaldo) - Sheriff 0 (Europa League - Home)

At long last, Garnacho was given the chance to start with Bruno and Antony supporting CR7 with Eriksen and Casemiro controlling the mid, and Malacia completing the back four with Martinez, Lindelof and Dalot. It was only in the 43rd minute that provided a goal after the foraging and encampment in Sheriff's half when Dalot nodded the ball in from Eriksen's corner to take the lead. The difficulty to penetrate the defensive 6-3-1 formation of Sheriff was woefully apparent.

Both Maguire and Rashford came on for Martinez and Antony at the start of the second half, followed by Mctominay and Shaw for Casemiro and Malacia in the 62nd minute. With Sheriff opening up and playing higher up the field, they provided spaces to be exploited and Rashford capitalised on it with a bullet header from Shaw in the 68th minute. The illustrious Ganarcho, who gave a good account for his incisive runs was replaced by VDB in the 78th minute and CR7 put the game to bed with his follow-up shot after his header rebounded off the goalie for his 701st goal.

Yes, he's better at defense as a CDM with crunching tackles, hence his replacement in the second half when Maguire came on for defensive duties, leaving Eriksen, who provides incisive passes for attack.

ManU 1 (Rashford) - West Ham 0 (EPL - Home)

With Lindelof sick and Varane injured, it was Maguire with Martinez, Dalot and Shaw in defence whilst Rashford, Bruno and Elanga (for the injured Antony) were in support to CR7 and Eriksen with Casemiro controlling the mid. A nicely weighted cross from Eriksen to Rashford, who rose above his marker to head the ball in, gave us the lead in the 37th minute to celebrate his 100th goal, for a deserving lead in the first half.

With substitutions in the second half with Mctominay and Fred for Elanga and Eriksen, the intensity was lacking allowing West Ham to go on the attack, but we hung on with the slim margin to move up to 5th on the table.

ManU 1 (Garnacho) - Real Sociedad 0 (Europa League - Away)

The favoured 4-2-3-1 formation with Garnacho, VDB and Bruno supporting CR7, it was RS who were on the front foot with their sleek passing and winning second balls, but it was against the run of play that took only 4 passes from De Gea's goal kick to Bruno who headed the ball to CR7 and squared it to Garnacho to score in the 16th minute. Both De Gea and Martinez were outstanding in defending the 1-0 lead in comparison to the ineffective VDB who offered no substance nor any contribution for his first start to be in future contention against the likes of Rashford or Sancho.

With Rashford and Mctominay for VDB and Lindelof in the 57th minute, it was sheer desperation that ETH also introduced Fred and Maguire to play high up the field to pursue that 2nd goal to pip RS to top the group but to no avail. as we now have to go through the play-offs and meet the 3rd-placed teams of the Champions League to proceed further.
