New MG HS?

Looks like a new car. Watch the full video. The predecessor is in it. 

The specs and interior looks good on first impression. The 1.5L TC engine and 7speed DCT are nothing new. But combine power it looks like a lot with additional 3 more speed ratios likely from the electric motor. This wan have to test drive to see how the power and gb will translate onto the wheels.

It has level 2 autonomous driving, same level as Tesla's autopilot. Wow. But driver still has to pay attention when driving, dont be mistaken as full autonomy.

Have to see what local dealer brings in and their pricing. Phev I think will have none of the range anxiety. No need to worry about finding a charging port.

Produced in Taiwan, for local market (Taiwan Domestic Model). 

The grill reminds me of Mercedes and Lexus at the quick glance.

If you are taking reference to the old British mg, this is different. Although still carry the mg badge, this is more of china car now. 

I think the current HS has quite good review.

No doubt, I sat in a 1.5T HS before, the turbo is rather good on the pick up but I still feel the materials used is not up to it

This has to be the best value mid-sized SUV in the market right now. Reviews says the PHEV logic is wrong and the FC is high compared to other hybrid rivals such as the RAV4. The PHEV is also has a $10k premium over the ICE version. Thinking what’s the break even point between ICE and PHEV versions of the HS?

Went to check out MG recently. Quality of the MG HS is better than most asian cars and some entry level conti models, but the ZS is definitely no where near as the build quality seems like its from a different factory (e.g. door hinges and parts are different).

MG HS is petrol version? How is the FC for this car? So their EV model quality not so good?
