Lol was driving my car to work. Then on the xoressway slip road started hearing this grinding racket.

First thought is I got a flat again and the rim is scrapping the floor. Reached work but no flat. Nothing dragging from under carriage. Racket continuous as long as wheels are running.

Lol sounds horrible.

Gotta go work shop tomorrow.

I replay the audio again, the noise seem to have come from the dust cover, and one possibility is some thing as simple as a stone or something gets trapped between the disk rotor and the dust cover.  The rotor is a thick solid metal that wont produe this noise, the one that around that area to produce this noise is the dust cover.

I'll be worried about the bolt that got loose enough to rub against a moving part and suddenly stopped.....it could not have re-tightened itself for sure 😅

especially when it comes to the suspension/brake assembly, better to send it in for a thorough check to be safe.

mine is ah pek chia. no spirited driving.

Will monitor.

Just sharing my 2 cents worth, there was one time my tire out of a sudden made loud brushing\grinding sound.  I looked at the tire, then realised there was a piece of masking tape sticked to it.  So when it turned it made loud noise.  Suggest ts do a visual inspection of the tire in question first.  Sometimes, the simplest solution is the right solution.

Car battery died while at yishun central. Stoning at northpoint now waiting for battery rescue.

Sigh Mr procrastinator. Noticed some slowness in cranking last week. Was going to message @Kb27 this week to change battery (almost 3 years liao).
