I have seen before at the Shell station. The fellow sitting in his EV during the charging. I stop for petrol and snacks. My younger kid even wanted McD fries. This kiosk has McD drive thru and has a counter in the kiosk that you can order McD. But it has only one charging station. I ask kiosk unker how come only one and not two charger. He said the kiosk has only enough power to support one. He also said maybe the area's power infrastructure cannot support more.

After I am done refueling and shopping, the fellow still in the EV.

Will I consider an EV? What do you think?😁

I wonder by the time I reach home and shake leg, where is the fellow? Starting to leave?

Maybe it’s his personal free time away from family. Say go charge car.

Some Shell EV chargers are at the mercy of mother nature as they are outdoor. Once I went to one at Jurong and was told that the EV charger stations were rendered unusable due to a power trip caused by lightning strike. So have to seek out alternative stations in the apps.

I don’t mind EV. Charger around my area either in mall or next to hawker.

Both top up together.

I mean if sit at home or sit in the car both end up watching netflix, seems about the same then. Of course can say home sofa/bed more comfortable than being outside, but with current charging tech maybe some just need an hour to charge full weekly then its not as bad as it seems to be out for an hour.

As long as ppl find it hassle free by all means go ahead.

@Eyke Very true! and when one pumps petrol, one cannot just walk away and shop around for hours before coming back to collect the car whereby juices have been filled up. You are absolutely right, not apple to apple, maybe apple to orange, or apple to pineapple, or apple to durian comparison? 😂

Shell recharge is a lousy example to use. Really bo liao, wait inside the car while it charge.

I usually go to sheltered DC charger inside shopping mall or near coffee shop/hawker. 40 mins just nice for breakfast/lunch or groceries. Like waterway point. Can even go during peak hours once u check got slot. No need to worry no parking.

Actually driving EV does require change of habits. If resistant to change, better stick to petrol car

@Beregond There are 3 points that I would like to share here since they were mentioned in the video:

1. Pre-entry climate control: SGCarMart specs (under "Features" => "Comfort & Convenient") it is there. I read the Owner manual from NZ (page 146), it is confirmed that the BYD APP can create a schedule to set time, temperature, duration and circulation mode. Maybe a different way of operating it, but I think it is good enough, isn't it?

2. To lock door automatically, just to activate "Anti-theft mode", door will be locked if it is left unlock for 30 seconds. This is what I read from the owner manual from NZ (page 53), need to confirm again when I have mine.

3. No BYD App: There is a BYD App, however, I am not sure to what extend the app can support, I can only comment when I got my ATTO 3 and have the App links to my car. However, I check on Google Playstore and this is what I have gathered.

Ya, there is no good or bad, its a matter of adjusting our life style.
Many of us wait even longer or Q for a simple plate of chicken rice or CKT.

If u work at CBP and park at the mall, u have the best bang for the buck working at the bank next to it.

Yes, slow AC charge at your office car park is most worth it. Already paid for parking, and can enjoy lower rates from AC (vs DC). Finish work, drive fully charged car go party

Interested to know from users for motor humming sound.  Is it that loud?

My day 2 with ATTO 3. I can hear some very soft "motor humming sound" (if you would call it as it is), but I guess it is way too soft to get disturbed. Once you have some music on, it will not be audible anymore.
