Mine got a HUGE sticker Skyactiv-G on the engine cover but still no i-eloop...😅😅😅 I asked a friend who has other model (a CX5) and no such device in that car too.  😅

then you are probably better off without it...😁 seem like additional wear and tear part to worry about.

Seems that not all Mazda models are equipped with i-eloop device. Scrutinised and searched through my car engine bay and couldn't find anything that looks like that thingy shown here.😁

Mazda 3 2014 till 2016 both standard and deluxe have.....2016 till 2019 only deluxe have, standard no. It's at the left bottom front wheels, need to turn steering full lock left than can see, engine bay cannot see.

My 2014 Mazda 3 engine light lighted up, car jerking when stopped, I-stop orange light flashing when I sudden accelerate. When to a workshop at sin Ming was told that my capacitor spoiled , quoted $2k. Saw at Carousell, used capacitor at $980 anyone try before? Any recommendation . Thanks in advance

I think i should be having the same issue with my mazda 3, exactly 7 years old. any other repair shop recommended and don't have to wait so long?

i-Eloop was a great 'marketing" feature that yielded minimal real-world benefits and has rightly been taken out of most recent Mazda models replacing with mild hybrid system.

What's the point of changing the capacitor since you intend to scrap the car after the COE ends? Might as well use the 1.8K for petrol instead?

I have been driving a 2015 Mazda 3 for 1.5 months currently, also with the capacitor problem. Flashing i-eloop light and the triangle exclamation light. Start-stop works intermittently and the orange lights start flashing again at high RPM. Seems that lowering the AC temp to 18 deg or lower will disable the start-stop system.

I have been getting fuel consumption figures of 12km/L to 14.9km/L from the Mazda 3 with frequent high rpm driving. It's a wonderful, highly responsive 1.5L powertrain with good handling to match.

My 200 rupiah of input :D

It will get worst....alot of them didn't change so they scrap it, some of them engine stall while waiting at the traffic lights....engine very harsh, lost of power, warning lights flashing inspection fail....part of car maintainance...now after change...feeling like new car.....super smooth....

Does the mild hybrid have the same lifespan that need replacing like i-Eloop?

Hmm this is something new. Inspection will fail because of this error?

You can try go down to monster garage and ask them to check for you. Went down this morning, is a misfire issues and carbon builds up in the engine as my mileage is about 180k, they need my car to be at the workshop for 2 days to clean up the engine, after solving this issue then will check whether the capacitor is faulty (if so, wait time is about a month for them to order from Japan). 😔engine light on again must tahan till Tuesday when I send in my car

Under normal circumstances, if the capacitor fails, it should enter bypass mode, allowing the alternator to provide the electrical needs of the car, so there is no need to replace a failed capacitor, but there is a possibility that the bypass mode can fail, and if the alternator fails as well, the car will eventually stall since the car battery is not being charged.

The capacitor seems to be able to last quite a bit; if the daily charge/discharge cycle counts at 200, 10 years of daily driving will accumulate 730,000 cycles which is below the specified one million cycles.

Then again, I don't think the domestic market often face capacitor replacement needs because the average Japanese changes car every 5-6 years and accumulate lower mileage.
