Redmart charges a "Slot Fee" from 15 June

Thanks for the heads-up. I was confused because they've charged for picking delivery slots before. Only difference is it was free for $60+ orders before, but now the slot fee will be imposed regardless.

I'd better stock up on my gluten free frozen bread. Easy to hit 60 bucks given it's about 10 bucks a loaf. Going now to order.

this will encourage people to buy more, $60 is too little for delivery, you will probably gather more than $100 to justify the additional $3 delivery fee.

NTUC requires $80 for ‘free’ delivery and charges a fee of $3.99

amazon prime is $2.99 a month but has no surcharge.. however the prices tend to be higher and the variety is smaller.. $60 for free delivery

Yup. However I like to order their chilled meat (beef) to cook as needed. So hence I time my deliveries to be like 1-2 days before my once weekly cooking days.

And I'm still exploring their stuff to see which is better like Eg peanut butter, canned tomatoes brands etc.

Guess physical supermarket shopping like what I usually do is back in fashion

I was still hoping more people buy online so less crowded in physical marts :XD:

I order some stuff from redmart every couple of months, typically the bulky/heavy stuff like drinks that I prefer not to carry myself. Brought forward and made my order this morning after seeing this. I think i will just buy from the supermarket together with my perishable groceries next time....

Supersonic

All these shopping very confusing.

I wanted to buy Dugro milk powder for my kid. If I go with redmart, they only have Sg version, and they charge for delivery.

If I buy from regular Lazada shop, I can get Dugro MY version, which is heck a lot cheaper (half price) and no delivery charge.

You really need a lot of time to search here and there for the best deal. [:(]

You just have to do it once.  I have those repeat items I buy regularly in the carts of every platform I buy from.  When it's time to restock,  I go to my carts and see which one has the best deal,  that one gets the click,  and then I put that same item back into the cart again.  ^_^[laugh][laugh]

IMM also gets one hour free parking on weekdays (not sure about weekends and PH), but no NTUC there, only got giant.

But these days, I do most of my purchases (dry items) online, otherwise my go to supermarket is SS. NTUC xtra only when I need something only they carry. [laugh][laugh][laugh]
