In order to protect our Little Red Dot from being submerged by rising sea level, Measures have to be taken to protect our coast lines from going under sea water. Indonesia has embarked on planting mangrove trees.

We are going to create a long island.

SINGAPORE - A reclaimed "Long Island" along the south-eastern coast of mainland Singapore may one day not only offer protection against floods and rising sea levels, but also a new spot for leisure and recreation, much like the Marina Barrage.

This is above sea level? It even has a reservoir. A copy of the marina barrage perhaps with AMK-Bishan landscape.

Forest City is a fail project in JB. The Chinese developers did smth similar like this but on a much bigger scale, target buyers are the Chinese. Then DrM ban foreigners from owning a property in M'sia, KNS now. The place is very nice though.

They actually had idea for this 'long island' very long ago (look at URA Master Plan 1991). Back then the idea was for it to be like a Sentosa number 2, with chalet and resort and beaches etc.

So they are building this Long Island to protect the island of Singapore but yet they want to build residential units on the island itself? 

Don’t copy the name of NY Long Island leh, can call it Coastal Island or something?
