Vivo has not the best android experience though.

Best PRC android software experience would be
Oneplus/Oppo (ColorOS based on oxygenOS) > Xiaomi > Vivo etc.

Anyway for people who like really chunky monster phones like S22 Ultra and Mi 11 Ultra.

Beside sensor, lens is the key in the hands of a good photographer under the same condition. So how would a handphone surpass a DSLR even with advanced technology applicable for both tools, I wonder?

you can't but computational photography has come a long way. And basically your phone's much more powerful processor is doing real time processing to every single photo that's happening. Actually almost even every frame of the video u are taking.

In recent last 2-3 years, u see sensor sizes not really making a major difference to the quality of the photos. Eg. the pixel 6 over the pixel 5.

Of course if u process the photo/video from a mirrorless micro 4/3, DX/FX it will be better. But the phone does it for u automatically.

No one use Realme here??

Thinking of getting the 9pro plus.

Realme is a good phone spec wise for the midrange.

But the camera will be like mid tier level. Doesn't do well with moving subjects in lower light.

Chinese companies tend to keep rolling out models and have way too many models.
And their android OS updates are always bit slow. With so many models, it's hard to troubleshoot fully all the minor problems with optimisation and minor glitches.

Oneplus was designed to sell overseas and for years they have a good reputation with Oxygen OS being the best OS closest to stock pixel experience.
Oppo is slowly folding Oneplus into its fold, so its still heavily based on the above.

Samsung's One UI is now considered the most stable (less glitchy) android launcher of the major brands.

What is a good camera with phone functions in the current crop? Android only please

My current Huawei Mate 10 is showing its age and due for replacement. I am fine with Xiaomi, OPPP etc. However a good camera and screen is a must have.

i like the way you put it, camera with phone functions. lol.

I'm not really into phone camera as i find most processing is unnatural. Mainly use for work only. But i think you wont go wrong with pixel 5 or 6a.

Won't go wrong with the flagships or near flagships.

1. Oppo Find X5 Pro locally
- Don't have locally supported X5 (non pro) which would be better bang for buck
2. S22 plus/S22 Ultra (base S22 may have poorer battery life due to its smaller battery)
3. Goggle Pixel series in general. 6/6 Pro (but the OS may ironically be more buggy than other brands...)

Unfortunately there is no locally supported higher end Xiaomi phones.
