One interesting paragraph from the article,

“After hours of searching, state TV reported early on May 20 that a Turkish drone appeared to have detected “the coordinates of the accident” and informed Iranian rescue teams.”

If a neighbour’s drone can look over a border (let’s assume no trespassing), whereas Iran has no idea where the President’s helicopter is, it speaks volumes about Turkey’s capabilities as well as Iran’s.

From Al Jazeera

"Upon the request of Iranian authorities, Turkey said it had assigned a drone, helicopter, vehicles and a rescue team to help in the search of the missing helicopter carrying the Iranian president and foreign minister."

Perhaps allowed with permission. Though drone detected a heat source. The wreckage would have to be burning for some time to still present a detectable signature in cold temperatures

The world had better wean itself off from their dependence on Taiwanese semiconductors first

If goes to war....

Global shortages...

Mobile phones, TV, laptops, fridges, washing machine, sound system, headphones, gaming console......

Cars with smart components, all other industrial and commercial equipment and probably commercial aircraft that need repair or production will be affected....

I think ROC was phase out by Taiwanese themselves also when they no longer use the phrase 反攻大陆 in 1990s

They have been denied the usage of中华民国 by UN when they recognised China.

So in a way.... Taiwan became their national identity....

I think it's hard for Taiwanese to be identified same as China and reunification is just an idealogy.....

Unless China became democracy like Russia 🤣

Taiwanese did not phase out ROC.

Rather, use of ROC Taiwan is to differentiate is to emphasize 1 side 1 country.
